Welcome to the capital! Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is Vietnam's biggest city. Upon arrival today at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be met by a private driver, who will take you to your hotel in town.
Your first day in Vietnam is yours to spend at your leisure. Relax at the hotel, or set out to get the first impression of this bustling city.
Discover the Mekong River Delta
Discover an intriguing way of life as you journey by boat down the Ham Luong River. Situated to the south of Ho Chi Minh, the Mekong Delta is an enchanting environment where the local population enjoys a vibrant economy.
Take an excursion through this region and visit local workshops. You will visit a traditional brick kiln, where bricks are formed by hand; a coconut processing workshop, where you can taste the fruit of a fresh coconut; and a mat-weaving house, where mats are woven from dried reeds and fibers on hand looms.
You will make a stop at a small delta village that you can explore on foot before setting off on a rickshaw or bicycle ride through orchards and rice fields. Enjoy lunch at a local village restaurant, then board a traditional sampan boat and float down tranquil canals.
Catch a Flight to Hoi An
This morning after breakfast at your Ho Chi Minh hotel, you will be met by your driver who will take you to the airport. Board a flight bound northward for the city of Hoi An.
Upon arrival, you will be driven to the charming Hoi An T&T Villa. Spend the day relaxing by the hotel pool, or set out on a walk around town to see this city's lovely cultural sights.
Encounter Farming and Fishing Communities
This region is home to vibrant fishing and farming communities. Today you will get the chance to encounter the rural lifestyle of this area in Northern Vietnam. Set out on a guided cycling tour of a serene landscape, swathed in myriad shades of green.
View pastoral scenes, as you cycle past rice fields and water buffalos, farmers tending their crops, and colorful roadside markets. En route, encounter friendly locals, happy to greet you as you make your way through their country.
Later, board a boat and journey along the river to meet the local fishermen who will show you how they bring in their catch with their small nets. You can also try paddling a traditional bamboo basket boat through picturesque waterways. Return to your hotel in the later afternoon.
Catch your Flight to Hanoi
Fun and excitement are on the agenda for today. You will head out early this morning on an excursion to the Ba Na Hills. Here, you will ride a cable car high above the stunning green forest. Later, stroll across Golden Bridge, an extraordinary pedestrian bridge held up by Buddha's enormous hands.
After crossing the bridge, enjoy the atmosphere at Le Jardin, a sensational botanical garden that is home to French villas and a pagoda with a towering statue of Buddha. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a wine tasting.
The itinerary continues with a visit to Fantasy Park, one of the biggest amusement parks in the world. Get your fill of game playing before lunch, then set out on a hike. We will wander along the trails of beautiful Chua Mountain before making our way back to the cable car.
This afternoon, you will catch a flight to Hanoi.
Tour Vietnam's Capital City
Enjoy a bountiful breakfast at your Hanoi hotel this morning. After breakfast, you will embark on a guided tour of this dazzling capital city. The tour begins with a visit to Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, where you can pay your respects to the former Prime Minister and President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
The tour continues to the Presidential Palace, a grand residence where Ho Chi Minh refused to live, opting instead for a simple stilt house on a nearby lake. Make your way to the One Pillar Pagoda, West Lake, and the Temple of Literature before stopping for lunch in the city.
The second half of the tour includes visits to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which celebrates the culture of Vietnam's 54 different ethnic groups by preserving traditional clothing and other arts and artifacts.
Set Off on a Bay Cruise
Your 2-night cruise in Halong Bay begins today. This gorgeous UNESCO World Heritage site includes over one thousand islands. Limestone pillars covered in verdant forests rise from these islands, towering over turquoise waters.
Onboard the boat, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch, then set off on your cruising adventure. Take in the awe-inspiring scenery as you make your way to sights like Sung Sot Cave, Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, and Titop Beach, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim or spend some time kayaking.
As the sun sets, enjoy dinner on board the boat.
Succumb to the Tranquil Environment of Halong Bay
Wake up early this morning to experience the exquisite serenity of Ha Long Bay at sunrise. Sit out on the boat's upper deck and sip your coffee as you take in the breathtaking beauty of this unrivaled landscape.
Later, you can go for a swim off the boat or do some kayaking around the bay. As we make our way back to Hanoi, enjoy brunch on the deck and watch the scenery pass by.

Catch Your Flight to Northern Thailand
This morning you will fly to the city of Chiang Mai, situated in the mountains of Northern Thailand. Founded by King Mangrai in the 13th century, Chiang Mai is the center of Lanna culture and is home to hundreds of Buddhist temples.
Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, you will be driven to your hotel, the Royal Lanna. Spend the afternoon at your leisure.
In the evening you will be picked up for dinner at a special place where you will eat a traditional meal around a small table and watch a Lanna show.
Encounter the Elephants of Thailand
Journey into the jungle this morning to encounter the magnificent elephants of Mae Taeng. Here, you will learn about how elephants have always played an important role in Thai culture.
You will have the unique opportunity to ride an elephant through the forest -- an experience you will never forget.
Later, have lunch at the Elephant Camp before setting sail along the Mae Taeng River aboard a bamboo raft. In the afternoon, you will return to your hotel, the Royal Lanna.
See Thailand's Stunning Buddhist Temples
Some very distinctive spiritual sights await you today, but first, set off for a nearby hot spring. What an enriching way to begin the day. Soak in the warm water and enjoy some traditional snacks. Then, head to the extraordinary White Temple, a cultural highlight of this land.
After lunch, continue on to the Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten). Learn about what role color plays in the Buddhist religion, and admire the contemporary Buddhist art on display here. The tour continues to the Black House (Baan Dum), which features an art studio, museum, and residence. Here you will encounter an intriguing mix of modern and traditional architecture.
