Welcome To Uganda!
Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by your driver, who will take you to your guesthouse.
The guesthouse is near the airport, so after your arrival, you can enjoy the Ugandan evening air while sipping on a welcome drink.
Visit The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, it is time to begin this amazing journey. Together with your guide, you will drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. You will go search for the White Rhino on foot!
Ziwa is the only place where rhinoceroses have 24-hour surveillance. The trip to Ziwa takes about 2.5 hours.
After lunch you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will check in at Murchison River Lodge.
See The Stunning Murchison Falls
Make an early start today and set out to spot the game in the park. After the ride through the park you will go back to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will start your boat trip on the Nile starts, to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. This boat trip takes about 3 hours and during the tour, you will see a lot of wild animals, such as hippos, buffalo, crocodiles and perhaps some elephants.
If you are in good physical condition there is the possibility for you to be deposited at the bottom of the waterfall and hike your way up. This hike is pretty steep and slippery. After the boat trip/hike, it will be time for dinner at the lodge.
Explore The Diverse Nile Delta
Make an early start again today! Take the ferry to the other side of the Nile. The area where most of the wild animals can be found is called the Delta, the name says it all, here you can find a lot of water.
In the evening and early morning, there is a good chance that you will find a lot of game here. On the way from the ferry to the Delta, you will also be able to spot many wild animals, the giraffe is very common here.
After the morning game drive, it is time to drive to Lake Albert.
Drive To Beautiful Kibale National Park
Today your journey continues to Kibale National Park, from Hoima to Kibale it is a 3-hour ride.
The journey is long but also very beautiful with stunning diverse landscapes, and the hills and mountains you will drive through will become greener and greener until you come to the tea plantations of Fort Portal!
After arrival, you will have lunch and then you will have the chance to go for a walk through the marsh. During this walk, you will spot many different birds and perhaps some monkeys. Stay at Kibale Forest Camp overnight.
Go On The Amazing Chimp Trek
Today you will look for the chimpanzees at Kibale National Park. First, go to the park rangers for a short explanation. Then your walk starts in the rainforest. It can be quite exhausting, so take good shoes and possibly a poncho.
There will be a lot of time to listen carefully in case you can hear the chimps. The Rangers are trained in this so chances are that you will find chimpanzees!
After the Chimp Trek, you can relax in the garden of your resort. If you still feel like going for a walk then you can go to the "top of the world", where you will have beautiful views over the area with a number of crater lakes.
Make Your Way To The Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today you will leave the rainforest behind and head for Queen Elizabeth National Park, along with the Rwenzori mountains that form the border with Congo.
After arriving at the park the ride to the accommodation already gives you a great chance to spot wildlife. You will take a boat trip on the Kazinga channel. This channel connects two lakes and in and along this canal live many different animals, especially waterfowl.
After the boat trip, it's time for dinner and your overnight stay at Marafiki Safari Lodge just outside the park boundary.
Spot Tree-Climbing Lions At Queen Elizabeth
Today, get up early for your game drive to Kasenyi. This is the area with the biggest chance to spot lions, but there are many more animals.
During the game drive you will also visit a crater with salt lake. After the game drive you will continue to the southernmost part of Queen Elizabeth, Ishasha.
This area is known for tree-climbing lions. After your arrival in Ishasha you will also look for the best climbing trees and maybe you’ll see lions on them.
Set Out To The Gorilla Valley Lodge In Bwindi
If yesterday you did not succeed in spotting the lions in the trees you can still try today.
Alternatively, you start the day slowly and at about 12:00 drive to Bwindi, where you will check in at the Gorilla Valley Lodge.
Go Searching For Gorillas In The Mist!
Today is the day for Gorillas! After breakfast, go to the ranger post for the briefing. After the briefing, the search for the Mountain Gorillas begins.
Depending on the location of the family you are going to visit, the trip can take a few hours.
The landscape is mountainous so take good walking shoes. After this exciting experience, it's time to relax at the lodge and view your photos.
Go To Magical Lake Bunyonyi
Lake Bunyonyi is just over an hour away. It is one of the highest lakes in East Africa. Because of the altitude it is a lot cooler here than in other parts of Uganda.
During the day you can swim or go canoeing. Bring a new sweater for the evening.
It is also possible to visit the Batwa Pygmeeen. Stay at Heritage Lodge overnight.
Discover Diversity At Lake Mburo National Park
Today, head to Lake Mburo National Park.
The park is famous for its large herds of zebras and recently groups of giraffes can be seen.
At the end of the day, you will check in at Rwakobo Rock.
Drive Back To Entebbe
Today is your last day in Uganda!
Depending on your flight schedule you can buy some souvenirs today, take a city tour or relax by the swimming pool before you are driven to the airport at Entebbe.
Safe travels, and visit again soon!
