Uganda Safari Tours

Safari in Uganda some of the best in Africa, with an unrivalled diversity of wildlife. This is an intoxicating land, seemingly made for the safari lover and adventurer.

Thanks to its privileged position on the equator, Uganda is home to an array of animals, big and small, that can be seen up close on a Uganda safari. Indeed, 70% of the world’s primates can be found wandering Uganda's plains.

Many people venture here specifically for Uganda gorilla safaris. The beauty of going on safaris in Uganda, however, is that the country is so small (about the size of Great Britain), that seeing all the other sights is well within any safari goers grasp. Be sure to visit Murchison National Park, Kibale National Park, Biwide National Park and more all on Uganda tours, including all the best safaris.

Nahid Iyer, November 2019

We had a memorable trip to Rwanda and Uganda with Sander’s tour company Grassroots. It was a pleasure communicating with him as he made the whole process very easy. Questions were answered very quickly, there was a lot of back and forth to get our trip scheduled for our convenience and Sander was very professional and accommodating .

Thé activities and the game parks chosen were a perfect fit for our family; lots of hikes and walks. We met different village communities and had a glimpse of their lives. Plus of course thé safaris and walk in the game park were spectacular; The Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking was beyond compare, to see these magnificent animals in their natural setting was very special. We also got to see the tree climbing lions in action. The tracking safari was of special significance Since it allowed us to get -up close and personal to the lions and a leopard.

Excellent Choice of accommodation - the tree house was our favourite; next to a river with a thousand nests nearby- wonderful to just sit there and watch the process of nest building , courtship among a variety of birds just a few metres away.

Wonderful, unforgettable holiday.

Nicholas was very helpful in answering all my questions and preparing the the perfect itinerary for me. I am very pleased with his service and would highly recommend him to everyone.

Celia Thomas, September 2019

Nicholas pulled together for us a fabulous tour of Rwanda and Uganda. We visited the burial site of Dian Fossey which was extremely moving and appreciative of the fantastic work she did with the gorillas for 18 years. We visited 2 sites for Gorilla Trekking which were unbelievable..the Rushaga and Nkuringo areas. Both treks were spectacular and very different. The Gorillas were magnificent at both. It was unimaginable how close you get to these beautiful creatures. We finished our tour visiting the Golden Tailed Monkeys which was great fun. The Genocide Museum in Kigali was very moving but worthwhile visiting to understand the atrocity that happened in 1994...All in all, a fabulous trip I would recommend to anyone wanting a different experience from the norm. Nicholas and his local agency were excellent in every way
