Gaze in Awe at Impressive Jerash
This day will be dedicated to visiting the north of Jordan.
Start with the Roman city of Jerash. Start the tour greeted by the imposing triple-arched gateway built to honor Emperor Hadrian's arrival at Jerash in A.D. 129.
Visit the Temples of Zeus, the mile-long Street of Columns, the Cardo Maximus, the colonnaded streets, theaters, baths and over 17 churches that were found in Jerash.
Then, drive back to Amman and begin your Amman city tour, including a visit to the old/new parts of the city, King Abdullah Mosque, as well as the Citadel and Amman theater.
Enjoy your dinner in a local traditional restaurant.
Admire the Mosaics in Madaba and Float in the Otherworldy Dead Sea
Dedicate the morning to visit the sites of Madaba and Mount Nebo.
Madaba, a small town at the head of the ancient King’s Highway (only 40 minutes from Amman), is covered with fantastic mosaics from the Byzantine era. Many are located in private homes, discovered when owners dug foundations or gardens.
At the St. George’s Cathedral you'll see the most famous of all - a clearly-labeled mosaic map of Jerusalem and the surrounding areas dating from 560 A.D.
Mount Nebo is just west of Madaba, on a cliff overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. It houses impressive mosaics.
Continue to the Dead Sea, one of the most spectacular natural and spiritual landscapes in the world and the lowest point on Earth.
Relax and experience its mineral-rich mud. Float on the dense, salty water.
Stay at the Dead Sea Hotel overnight.
Explore Ancient Jerusalem
Head to the Allenby border, where you will be met and assisted by our representative, and transfer to Jericho. Visit the Sycamore Tree, view the Mount of Temptation, and arrive in Jerusalem.
Ascend to the Mount of Olives, boasting a panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem, visit the Pater Noster Church, Ascension, Palm Sunday Road, and Gethsemane Garden, and head to the hotel for your overnight stay.
Visit the Nativity Church in Bethlehem
After breakfast, transfer to Bethlehem.
Visit the Nativity Church and Milk Grotto. Then go to Shepherd's Field.
Back in Jerusalem, visit the Ein Karem Village, the Visitation Church, John the Baptist, and then the Old City of Jerusalem.
Visit the Holy Sepulcher Church and return to the hotel.
Discover Exciting Tel Aviv
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Tel Aviv.
Take a city tour of Tel Aviv, visiting Jaffa, the Old Port of Jaffa, St. Peter House, and then continue to the north.
Arrive in Haifa, and visit Mt. Carmel, Stella Mares, then view the Bahaai Gardens, and continue to Nazareth, where you will visit the Annunciation Church. Afterwards, continue on to Tiberias and visit Caper Naum, the Mount of Beatitudes, and then drive directly to the Sheikh Hussein border to cross back into Jordan.
See the Stunning Dana Nature Reserve
Drive south to Dana.
Dana is a small village near the city of Tafilah, in central-western Jordan. It is situated on the edge of a large natural gorge, Wadi Dana, and offers spectacular views over Wadi Araba.
Dana is one of Jordan's premier nature reserves and eco-tourism facilities, and it was established by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature under the guidance of Queen Noor.
Continue to Petra. On the way, make a short stop at Shobak Montreal, one of the Crusader castles on the eastern side of the Sharah mountains along the King's Way to Petra, perched on the side of a rocky, conical mountain, looking out over fruit trees below. The castle was built in 1115 by Baldwin I of Jerusalem during his expedition to the area.
After sightseeing, transfer directly to your hotel in Petra.
Why not consider an optional visit to Petra by night?
Witness the Glory Of Petra
After breakfast, visit the unique "Rose-Red" city of Petra, built by the Arab Nabateans, who hewed their monumental tombs, palaces, temples and treasury from the desert rock’s sandstone in its natural hues of rose and gold.
Begin the trip on horseback for 700m until reaching the entrance of the impressive narrow gorge (Siq) leading to the magical monument, where you be able to get a glimpse of the Treasury. Continue to the street of facades, the Royal Tombs, the Cardo, Temples, Churches and Museums.
Afterwards, drive to Wadi Rum for dinner around the campfire and your overnight stay.
Explore Wadi Rum and Enjoy the Beach in Aqaba
Start the day with a 2-hour guided tour with a local Beduin guide, exploring huge mountains and broad sandy wadis.
The adventure inside the desert continues with 4x4 off-road SUV for 3 hours. "Vast, Echoing and God-like" - these were the words T.E. Lawrence used to describe the Wadi Rum - Valley of the Moon. The largest and most magnificent of Jordan’s desert landscapes, it covers 720 km2 of dramatic desert wilderness in the south of Jordan. It is home to several Bedouin tribes and a surprising range of desert wildlife, including the rare Arabian Oryx.
At noon, drive to Aqaba for rest and relaxation. The southern part of the seaport city of Aqaba offers great opportunities for enjoying the beach, as well as diving and snorkeling at one of the best-preserved coral reefs in the world.
