You'll get acquainted with the layout of the city's downtown area, see its historical districts, and get an overview of its rich history.
Highlights of the city center include the main square, Plaza Mayor, which is a Renaissance masterpiece. There's also Puerto del Sol, the center of Spain, where you'll find a stone marking 'kilometer 0' of all Spanish roads!
Be sure heck out Madrid's fantastic buildings: The Palacio Real, the Casa de Correos (Post Office) and the buildings that surround Plaza de la Villa. Also, ask your knowledgeable guides for their tips on what to do, where to eat and drink, and more!

This walking tour will take you through vibrant streets and to hidden gems. You'll get to taste specialties from the different regions of Spain, which are all represented in the capital.
Madrid itself is surrounded by various fantastic wine countries, and a great variety of delicious treats are produced in the region, like Manchego sheep cheese, Iberian ham or olive oil.
Did you know that Europe’s biggest seafood market is in Madrid? Yes, although Madrid is landlocked by hundreds of miles, it still hosts the continent's most important fish market.
Be sure to bring your appetite — and keep your eyes open as you cross historic districts on your way to the next tasting.
Visit Toledo and See Don Quixote's Windmills
Today, you'll head out on a day trip to Toledo, "the city of three cultures", so-called due to its history of coexistence between Jewish, Christian, and Muslim people.
You'll get a real sense of this history as you explore the city, visiting the imposing medieval castle. Toledo is also famous for its art, so learn about El Greco, who is also firmly linked with the city.
Next, its time to head out into the countryside and see the windmills, made famous when the writer Miguel de Cervantes depicted them in his novel, Don Quixote. Will you be tempted to charge them on horseback? Perhaps stick to just taking some photographs!
