Welcome to Argentina!
From Buenos Aires, you will take a flight to Mendoza. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Vineyards and Wineries in Mendoza
Did you know that the foothills of the Andes Mountains in Mendoza are wine-growing regions? Today, you will discover the Argentine wine-producing areas and the wine industry here.
Set forth on a trip to the vineyards in Luján de Cuyo or Maipu region well-known as the cradle of Malbec wines. Home to vineyards several years old at the base of the imposing Andes Mountains, this region consists of several wineries. Accompanied by a special guide, you will be taken on a six hour tour during which you will visit two wineries.
During lunch time, you will stop at a wonderful restaurant of one of the wineries and enjoy a superb three-course meal. Savor excellent pairings of food and wine with the scenic view of the Andes Mountains. Cheers!
Enjoy Adventure Activities at Mendoza
You have the day at leisure to do as you wish. You can rest or if you prefer some activities for the day, it can be arranged.
There are some exciting optional adventure activities that you can choose from. Try white water rafting for an adrenaline rush.
If you enjoy hiking, opt for a hike to the base of Mount Aconcagua. You can also explore the area through horseback riding.
Journey to Salta
It’s time to continue with your tour of Argentina. Take a flight from the local airport at Mendoza to Salta, your next destination.
Proceed to your hotel from the airport after your arrival in Salta.
Marvel At Salt Plains and Colorful Hills
After breakfast, get set to follow the same path as the famous ‘Train to the Clouds’ on a full day tour. This itinerary will take you through Quebrada del Toro towards San Antonio of the Coppers.
The journey continues through the Puna and then proceeds to Route 40 towards "Salinas Grandes" in Jujuy, an extensive salt plain that makes for a stunning landscape.
In the final part of your tour, you will descend the sloping Cuesta de Lipan to the picturesque Purmamarca town, at the foot of Cerro de los Siete Colores. It is a geologically interesting colorful hill that has become a major tourist attraction.
Visit The Top Attractions of Jujuy
Today, you will go on a tour of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before that, en route, you will see various other attractions including Maimará – a lovely town, Painter's Palette – mountains that have an astounding range of colors, Tilcara, the Pucara of Tilcara – pre-Inca archaeological ruins, Tropic of Capricorn, Uquía (PinturasCuzqueñas), Independence Monument, and Humahuaca - location of the mountain valley Quebrada de Humahuaca that has a vivid landscape.
After a fascinating tour of all these places including the World Heritage Site, you will return to Salta.
Embark On A Valles Calchaquies Tour
Go on a picturesque journey from Salta city through route 68 going past different towns of Lerma Valley. At lunchtime, you will arrive at Cachi.
Resume your journey through mountainous landscapes and enchanting towns. Along the border of the Calchaquí river, you can see historical towns such as Seclantas, Molinos, Angastaco, San Carlos and Animana.
You will arrive at Cafayate in the late afternoon. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Wineries at Cafayate, and Shells Gorge
Today, you will visit some more wineries to understand the wine-growing areas of Cafayate. Afterwards, you will return to Salta through the Shells Gorge visiting the peculiar rock formations caused by the rain and wind such as the amphitheater and Devil’s Throat.
You will arrive at Salta after crossing the Lerma Valley. Overnight in Salta.
Travel to Iguazu
Proceed to the local airport in Salta to take a flight to the next stop on your Argentina tour - Puerto Iguazu. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.
Enjoy A Full Day Tour of Iguazu Waterfalls
All set to visit one of the most incredible series of waterfalls in the world? After breakfast, go on a full day excursion to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. Explore the National Park by wandering the pathways that have incredible views of over 200 majestic waterfalls.
After lunch at noon, you have the option of taking the Great Adventure tour, where you sail up the river, see the falls in close proximity, and even pass underneath them! The spray will definitely make you wet, so bringing a change of clothes is advisable.
In the afternoon, enjoy a train ride to the largest of the park's attractions, the unparalleled Devil's Throat.
After this exhilarating tour of the falls, you will return to your hotel.
Now that you have seen the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls, you have to see the Brazilian side as well. On a half-day excursion to the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls, you can see the breathtaking waterfalls from a whole new perspective.
