Welcome to Bilbao!
Welcome to exciting Bilbao! Enjoy a private transfer from Bilbao Airport to your boutique hotel.
Check in at Hotel Castillo El Collado, then visit the Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture. This museum occupies 4,000 square metres devoted to admiring the relationship between man and wine over 8,000 years of history, all with a single goal: to educate, teach, spread and interact with wine as a civilising element. And all this is done from experience, sensitivity, respect, and innovation.
The vitivinicultural and pioneering spirit of Rafael Vivanco is reflected both in his wines and in the experiments and research he carries out with different growing and winemaking methods, in the use of minority grape varieties and in wood ageing in oak from different provenances.
Enjoy a seasonal paired menu at Hotel Castillo.
Visit the Luis Cañas Winery
Today, make your way to Luis Cañas Winery. The surrounding vineyard is a treasure that you can’t help but be moved by.
Begin the tour with a glass of barrel fermented white wine in the family’s gallery, then, with glass in hand, continue to the place where Luis Cañas himself contemplates his vineyards: The Viewpoint.
Continue your tour of the winery to find out about selection criteria, vinification, and the aging of wine, before finishing with an aperitif with a family selection reserve wine in the wine bar. You will taste a selection of 5 wines during the visit.
Have dinner at the fabulous Restaurant-Héctor Oribe. This restaurant specialises in cuisine d'auteur and seasonal dishes based on traditional recipes.
