The most densely populated capital of the Atlantic has, according to various studies, the most pleasant climate in the world.
Las Palmas is charming and fun, with historical neighborhoods that retain the very essence of Canarian folk life.
This spirit is alive in the narrow streets, endless stairways, and colored houses in old neighborhoods like San Cristobal, La Isleta, and San Roque.
Las Palmas is also notably majestic in important areas such as La Vegueta or Ciudad Jardín.
Its cathedral is the most important monument of Canarian architecture still preserved today, and the beach of Las Canteras is one of the most important and highly-rated urban beaches in Europe.
If you are not already convinced, it's also the ideal city for shopping!
Go on the Gran Canaria Submarine Tour

Board the Golden Shark, a real yellow submarine that will take you to the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
Down on the sea floor, around 82 feet (25 m) deep, you'll spend approximately 40 minutes admiring the marine life surrounding you. Through the many windows and portholes you'll be able to observe the diverse underwater fauna native to this area of the Canarian archipelago, including different fish and other sea creatures swimming around the remains of sunken shipwrecks.
In addition to enjoying the views of life under the Atlantic, each passenger will have their own television screen, so you will be able to follow the submarine's fascinating maneuvers as it descends to the ocean floor and ascends back to the surface.
