Delve Into The Charms Of Istanbul
Delve into the heart of the Old City of Istanbul on this exciting tour of some of the most beautiful landmarks and sites in the area. Istanbul offers an unparalleled mix of Western and Middle Eastern culture.
Begin your day in the at Sultanahmet Square. Then, explore the thrilling Hippodrome, which used to host chariot races in the days of the Byzantine Empire. Head over to the sprawling and awe-inspiring construction of the Blue Mosque, one of the most impressive sights in the city.
After the Blue Mosque, head over to another colossal construction: the Hagia Sophia, one of the finest examples of Ottoman architecture. Continue to the Topkapi Palace, arguably the most popular attraction in the whole of Istanbul. Round the day off with a visit to one of the largest covered markets in the world, the Grand Bazaar, and its more than 4,000 shops - a quintessential Istanbul experience.
Cruise The Bosphorus
Begin your day with a brief visit to the 17th-century Spice Bazaar, one of Istanbul’s most colorful, bustling attractions. Then, embark on an unforgettable cruise along the Bosphorus, the majestic strait that runs through Istanbul linking Europe and Asia.
From the cruise boat, you'll enjoy the most dramatic sights lining the Bosphorus’ wooded shores: mosques, a bridge that for some time was the world’s longest and Rumeli Hisari, a massive fortress built by Mehmet the Conqueror in just three months as he prepared to take Istanbul.
Drive across the first Bosphorus Bridge, which for a time was the world’s longest suspension bridge, and head for the summit of Çamlica Hill, offering panoramic views of Istanbul, the Sea of Marmara and the Princes’ Islands.
Visit The Timeless Princes' Islands
The car-free Princes' Islands are only a short ferry ride from Istanbul and provide a welcome break from the city's heat and bustle. The morning begins when you are transferred to the ferry terminal for a cruise on the Sea of Marmara bound for Büyükada, the largest of the nine islands making up the archipelago.
On the way, you'll be able to enjoy great views of the Topkapi Palace, Leander's Tower and Üsküdar on Istanbul's Asian shore. Büyükada is a popular resort for locals in the summer with its white sandy beaches and fragrant pine forests. You'll be enchanted by this small slice of traffic-free paradise. When you explore some of the islands' quiet back streets, you'll feel as if you've traveled back in time.
Tour the island in a horse-drawn carriage before having lunch in one of the island's many pleasant restaurants. Return to Istanbul in the afternoon.
Experience Istanbul Your Way
