Welcome to Yangon!
What better way to be welcomed in Yangon than by getting a closer look at two of the world-famous pagodas in Myanmar? These beautiful pagodas are definitely worth your visit!
As you arrive in Yangon, you will have the morning to yourself. You can spend it at the hotel and relax. In the afternoon, you will visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, you will be surprised by its jeweled crown with diamonds and other precious stones. Then, you will visit Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world. Enjoy watching the breathtaking views of the golden stupa.
Exploring Yangon in daytime
Today is a day to explore more of Yangon!
You will spend the day strolling the streets and touring the historical parts of the city. You will visit the beautiful post office building, and as you continue your tour, you will pass by the Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Garden, and Independence Monument. You will surely appreciate the fabulous mix of architecture and the sites.
If you still have time, you can also visit the Bogyoke Market where you can see a lot of Myanmar’s very own handicraft and goods. You will leave for Mandalay on a train late in the afternoon. Have a good night’s rest aboard the train and replenish your energy for more activities in Mandalay!
Spend a whole day in Mandalay!
Upon arrival, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast at a local tea shop. Then you will be transferred to your hotel and you can spend the entire morning to freshen up and relax.
In the afternoon, you will visit the famous Mahamuni Pogada, a 13ft-high Buddha which is very famous in Myanmar. You will also visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda, where you can find the ‘World’s Biggest Book’, 729 marble stone slabs that contain Buddhist scriptures. You will continue your tour to the majestic Shwenandaw Monastery, a historic building which is the only remaining structure from the 19th century Royal Palace. The exquisite wood carving of this building is truly impressive!
Before ending the day, what better way to spend it than to watch the sunset on top of a hill? You’ll head on top of Malanday hill and enjoy the magnificent view of the city and the Irrawaddy River.
Discover the beauty of Three Ancient Cities!
Start the day by visiting Amarapura, known as the ‘City of Immortality’. Your first stop will be at a silk weaving shop so you can witness how Myanmar’s exquisite hand made products are produced! Then, you will visit the Mahagandayon monastery, where thousands of monks reside. You will continue your tour to the U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge! Then you will cross the bridge over Irrawaddy River going to Sagaing Hill, the religious center of Myanmar and the home of thousands of monks. This place is very peaceful and if you feel like meditating, you can try it in one of the 100 meditation centers.
In the afternoon, you will travel by local ferry boat to Ava. You will enjoy the view of the remarkable ruins, monastic buildings, and stupas. You will explore Ava by plodding a horse cart to visit monasteries and Nanmyin, the leaning watchtower of Ava.
A river journey to Bagan!
Today, you will be enjoying your way to Bagan on a river cruise!
Feel the breeze and enjoy watching the wonderful view of the beautiful Ayerwaddy River and the villagers and fishermen that live along the banks of the river. You can also enjoy eating snacks while on the boat and watching the beautiful scenery.
Once you arrive in Bagan, you will be transferred to your hotel so you can rest for the night.
Exploring the temples in Bagan
There are many ancient temples in Bagan worth visiting and crafts worth admiring!
After breakfast, your first visit will be to the golden Shwezigon Pagoda. Then you will visit Gubyaukgyi, a cave temple in Wetkyi-Inn Village. You will get a chance to see its Jataka mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations.
In the afternoon, you will stop by a lacquer ware shop where you can see the production of Myanmar's best-known handicrafts. Then you will continue to Ananda Temple, one of Bagan's most beautiful temples and an architectural masterpiece! You will continue to explore two more famous temples of Bagan and you can enjoy the view of the sunset while on the upper terrace of one of the temples!
Spending time with locals
This day will be lighter than the rest.
In the morning, you will visit Nyaung Oo Market and observe the locals buy and sell their produce and other goods. You can even buy some souvenir items for yourself! Then you will proceed to Phwar Saw village and get to know the villagers.
You will have the afternoon at your own leisure. You can rest and relax at the hotel or get more acquainted with the city!
A journey from Bagan to Nyaung Shwe!
You will leave for Ngyaung Shwe in the morning, travelling by bus to your destination. You can rest during the ride or you can enjoy the view of your journey to Ngyaung Shwe.
Once you arrive at Ngyaung Shwe, you will be transferred to your hotel so you can rest or you can explore the place and enjoy a meal in a restaurant or drink in a bar in the town with the most vibrant atmosphere!
Exploring Inle Lake by boat
Inle Lake is one of Myanmar's most spectacular sights! After breakfast, you will head to Inle Lake by private motorboat. Enjoy the view of the surrounding areas as you pass by the villages built on stilts over the lake, leg-rowing fishermen, and of course, the floating garden!
Next, you will visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, famous for the 800 years old Five Buddha statues which are covered in gold leaf. Then you can explore the local crafts at the weaving village of Inpawkhone and at the cheroot factory where they make the Burmese cigars by hand.
Discover the fascinating beauty of Indein!
Indein's market is a must-see. You will visit the morning market after breakfast. The market rotates its location around the villages on 5 days. It is visited by lake inhabitants and people from the surrounding hill tribes to buy and sell their wares.
The market is just the beginning of the wonderful sights of Indein. Hidden in the covered alley lined with pagodas on both sides and a long covered staircase is the magnificent view of the complex of Alaung Sithu. Its scenery of ancient stupas buried in vegetation and a panoramic view of the lake is strikingly beautiful! Indein truly has a beauty of its own worth visiting.
Ngapali Beach, Here I come!
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Heho airport for your flight to Thandwe. On the way, you will stop over at Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery to take a peek at its elegant ancient monastery with oval windows.
Once you arrive at Thandwe Airport, you will enjoy a short ride going to Ngapali Beach. Ngapali Beach is a 3-kilometer stretch of white sands lined by coconut palms. This is the vacation you have been dreaming of where you can relax and enjoy swimming and do some water activities!
Spend a relaxing day at Ngapali Beach!
Ngapali Beach is one of Myanmar's premier beach destination. The main feature of this island is the idyllic stretch of white sand and palm tree-lined coast. Aside from the terrific view, you can also enjoy water sports such as snorkeling or you can rent a boat and go island hopping to the smaller islands nearby.
Your day at the beach is at your own leisure. Enjoy and have fun!

There are more water sports you can try out such as scuba diving, boating, kayaking...You can even go cycling or motorbiking down the beach and around the local villages.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Thandwe airport for your flight back to Yangon.
