There are particularly many sights in a small area in Lucerne. The Chapel Bridge with the Water Tower is the landmark of Lucerne and the most photographed monument in Switzerland.
it was constructed in the first half of the 14th century as a part of the city's fortifications and named after St. Peter's Chapel, which is located nearby. The paintings that were added in the 17th century illustrate scenes of Swiss and local history, including the biographies of the city's patron saints, St. Leodegar and St. Maurice.
Also, see the water tower. This octagonal tower was built around 1300 as part of the city wall and used as an archive, treasury, prison and torture chamber.
Travel To Lovely Milan
From German-speaking Lucerne, you will drive to Ticino. Continue through the mountains to Lugano, which is a town of parks and flowers, villas and sacred buildings.
With a Mediterranean flair, it offers all the advantages of a world-class city combined with the flavor of a small town.

Drive Along the Coast of the Mediterranean Sea
Today you will drive to Cinque Terre. Tucked away in a particularly mountainous kink of the Italian Riviera, the Cinque Terre villages were shaped by their profound isolation.
Today the villages’ exquisite ruggedness still presents a few challenges for accessibility. Although all the villages can be reached by car, you’ll need nerves of steel for the narrow, twisting cliff-edge roads and deep pockets to pay for parking.
If you’re travelling by car, leaving it in nearby La Spezia is a smart move – there are secure parking facilities at the train station.
Visit The Famous Cinque Terre
Visit the famed Cinque Terre in one fun day. You will begin your tour of these UNESCO sites at daybreak with your arrival in La Spezia.
Board a train to Riomaggiore, a quaint medieval town dating back to the 13th century.
Next, you'll head over to Manarola, walking the famous "Via dell'Amore" (Path of Love), which you will soon discover is one of the most beautiful routes in all of Italy! Here you are, high above the sea, with lovely mountains and wilderness all around you!
Continue on to Monterosso, an ancient fishing village considered the "pearl of the Cinque Terre." Here, you can relax on its lovely beaches and jump into the refreshing crystal sea. Finally, you'll take a boat across to Vernazza, whose natural port has kept it safe from invaders for centuries.

You will admire the central square of the tiny village. Heading back to the city, drive along the famous Lungarni (on the Arno riverbank) to reach the Basilica di Santa Croce and its historic square.

The tour finishes inside the Uffizi Gallery, where you can stand and admire the unique Renaissance masterpieces of the great Italian artists: Leonardo, Giotto, Michelangelo, Botticelli and Raphael.
Explore Magical San Gimignano
On this afternoon and evening tour from Siena to Chianti and San Gimignano, explore the beautiful Chianti region – an area rich with dense oak forests and cypress trees – and discover its famous wine cellars.
Then head to the UNESCO World Heritage town of San Gimignano after the day’s crowds have dispersed.
In the late afternoon, arrive in San Gimignano and explore this romantic town of towers. You'll have free time to enter its impressive church, the Collegiata di San Gimignano, or explore the Civic Museum.
Alternatively, shop in the artisan boutiques for leather goods and hand-painted pottery; sample the fruits of the soil in the food shops and wine bars; or discover the town’s many hidden beauties.
During sunset, dine in a beautiful farmhouse overlooking the San Gimignano towers and the rolling, vine-covered hills.
Discover The South of Tuscany
Spend the day discovering South Tuscany on your own. Tuscany has so many things to offer!
The cities boast countless amounts of art & incredible architecture, sandy beaches and hot springs to relax at, mountains for hiking adventures, vineyards, and wineries where you can enjoy tastings, olive groves, and cypresses to offer spectacular landscapes.
