Welcome to Entebbe!
Welcome to Uganda!
Arrive in Uganda following the flight from your respective country of origin. You will land at Entebbe International Airport which is the main gateway to Uganda where you will find a representative of your booked hotel, who will offer you a courteous welcome.
The amazing weather and brightening atmosphere on the shores of Lake Victoria give you a remarkable first impression of Uganda. Get ready for your adventure here!
Look for Birds in the Mabamba Swamps
After breakfast, you will leave your hotel in Entebbe and drive to the harbor. Here, enjoy a boat-ride across Lake Victoria with a beautiful view of Entebbe, the airport, fishermen, and lots of birds -- especially on approaching the swamps.
At Mabamba or Bussi, you will leave the bigger boat and enter the smaller canoes for the Mabamba Swamps. The canoes will take a maximum of 3 persons excluding the driver and guide. After some minutes in the canoe the papyrus reeds open up into the big grassy swamps. Most of the time this is where the Shoebill can be spotted. Search for the Rare Shoebill stork, lesser jacana, marsh harriers, African pygmy-goose, and many other aquatic birds of Uganda.
Hopefully, you can finish the experience with having caught sight of the Great Shoebill Stork. After about two hours it is time to return from the swamps and shift to the bigger boat for the journey back.
Travel to Murchison Falls National Park
In the early morning after breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel by your tour guide for a transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Branch off at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola to track the Rhinos and later continue to the park.

Leave for Kibale National Park

Look for Primates and Birds in Kibale
Early in the morning after taking breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking. By 8 am, you will be starting your search for the chimpanzees within the park.

There are also many other primate species which will be seen along with the chimpanzees and these include golden monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and the checked Mangabey, among others.
Later in the afternoon, you will visit Bigodi swamp which is also good for watching primates and birds. It’s mainly maintained by the local people and they earn a living from this. You will enjoy many bird species here including the great blue turaco, and many more.
