After arriving at Bangkok Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. This vibrant capital city is the perfect introduction to Thailand with its splendid temples, delectable food, and warm vibe.
Sleep well, and begin your discovery of the country’s myriad attractions from the next day onwards.
Visit Bangkok Attractions And Enjoy A Food Tour
Get ready to see all the amazing places in Bangkok. Dress appropriately as you will be visiting some sacred spots today.
First, visit the Grand Palace and take a look at the beautiful structures inside this royal complex.
Also located on the grounds of the palace is Wat Phra Kaew temple, housing the splendid Emerald Buddha.
Later, proceed to one of the oldest and most extensive temples in Bangkok–the Wat Pho.
Once you step inside, you can see the massive image of the reclining Buddha. This temple is said to be the first university in Thailand and has a center for learning traditional Thai massage.
Next up is the Wat Traimit, containing a Golden Buddha statue made of real gold.
Continue to Jim Thompson House surrounded by lovely gardens. Here, you can see traditional Thai homes with fabulous art and sculpture.
In the evening, set out for a food tour on a tuk tuk and relish flavorsome food.
Discover The Magnificent Heritage Site At Ayutthaya
Today, you will head to the banks of the Chao Phraya river to see the Bang-Pa-In summer palace built in the 17th century.
It was renovated later and boasts superb pavilions built in various styles such as European, Thai and Chinese.
Later, travel on a traditional long-tail boat from Bang Pa-In to Ayutthaya, site of an erstwhile kingdom.
Enjoy a tasty buffet lunch on arrival.
Afterwards, you will begin your discovery of the remarkable ruins. Visit Wat Mahathat and see the famous Buddha head entwined in the roots of a tree, after which you will visit Wat Ratburana with its Khmer style architecture.
Then, drop by the Mongkhon Bophit temple that houses a large bronze seated Buddha image.
Next on your tour is the majestic Wat Chai Wattanaram, one of the most popular attractions here.
Afterwards, enjoy roti saimai, a local sweet snack.
Return to Bangkok.
Cook A Traditional Thai Meal
Have you always wondered why Thai dishes taste so good?
You will discover the secrets of Thai cuisine during a cooking class in the morning.
Learn to cook traditional Thai food in a home-style Thai setting. Your friendly teachers at the Silom Thai Cooking School will share their culinary expertise with you in a fun, relaxed ambience.
The school offers four separate courses. Each one involves preparation of a complete Thai meal, from buying and preparing raw ingredients to cooking appetizers, main courses and desserts.
Return to your hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure.
Later, check out from your hotel and take a minibus to the train station. Board a night train from Bangkok to Surat Thani.
Go On A Canoe Ride At Khao Sok National Park
At Surat Thani station, you will board a private minivan bound for Khao Sok National Park. With its pristine surroundings consisting of rainforests, rivers and lakes, this national park is an idyllic destination that will soothe your senses.
On arrival, have lunch at the riverside restaurant.
Afterwards, go on a more than one-hour long canoe ride along the Sok river that has huge limestone cliffs rising from its waters. Monkeys, birds, snakes and lizards are some of the wildlife that inhabit the park and you will spot a few of these creatures during your ride.
Proceed to your accommodation at the Khao Sok River Lodge near the river.
End your day with a yummy Thai dinner and rest overnight.
Trek At Khao Sok To See Flora And Fauna
The best way to discover the beauty of this national park is by trekking and that’s what you will do today.
As you walk along with your guide, you will discover the wonderful plants and trees here and also spot some animals. Your trek will lead you to a waterfall in the midst of the lush forest. Take a swim in its pool and feel all refreshed!
After lunch on the site you will trek for some more time, giving you an opportunity to look for more flora and fauna. Return to your lodge for a shower and check out.
You will then continue to the Cheow Lan Lake located in the national park. It is a serene artificial lake surrounded by green vistas and riveting landscapes.
Head to the Rachaprapa Dam pier to take a long-tail boat to a bamboo raft house and check in. Rest for the night.
See The Coral Cave And Picturesque Cheow Lan Lake
After breakfast at the raft house, set out to visit the Coral Cave, one of the attractions of this area.
On the way you will reach an amazing lagoon from where a bamboo motor raft will take you to the cave.
As you step inside the cavern you will see some brilliant formations, such as stalactites and stalagmites, some of which look like coral reefs.
Then, make your way back to the bamboo raft house.
Spend some time at leisure and go kayaking, enjoy a swim or just admire the picturesque setting.
After lunch at the floating restaurant, you can rest for some time.
Depart by long-tail boat to Rachaprapa Dam for sightseeing at the “view point” of the dam.
It is then time to leave for your next destination–Phuket, the famous island in the Andaman Sea.
Once you reach Phuket, check in at your hotel and relax.
