You'll have the opportunity here to unwind from your flight, settle in, and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime. Have a nap, relax, and then maybe go out to one of the fabulous places to eat nearby. Cape Town is famous for its fabulous views and food, so you can't go wrong. Set out to Discover Cape Town and its Townships
Today after breakfast, you'll get a taste of the thriving center of the Mother City, in the shelter of Table Mountain, during a half-day tour of Cape Town. You will visit many of the Cape’s top attractions, from the imposing Castle of Good Hope to the colorful cottages of the Bo Kaap, the bustling Green Market Square, the South African Museum, the beautiful Company Gardens, and much more.
In the evening, go on a Township tour. This tour will take you to the legendary District Six area to see some of Cape Town’s thriving townships such as Langa and Khayelitsha. You will also have the chance to enjoy local delicacies as well as traditional dancing. Visit local schools, churches, shebeens, and many other fascinating places.
Take an Excursion Outside the City Center
Once again, you'll wake up to have a lovely breakfast at your leisure and then head out to see some of the most iconic sites around Cape Town!
You'll be driving around the magnificent Table Mountain National Park and doing a tour of the Cape Peninsula. A bucket list item on any trip to the area, this tour includes visiting World Heritage sites, the adorable penguins on Boulders Beach, and the brightly colored beach huts lining the beach in Muizenberg.
Fly to South Africa's Beautiful Northeastern Corner
This morning after breakfast, say goodbye to the lovely people at Bergzichgt Guest House before heading to the airport with a private transfer to catch your flight to Nelspruit Airport. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to Gecko Lodge in Hazyview.
Relax beside the beautiful rock pool and enjoy the subtropical climate. Enjoy a sundowner at the bar or have a glass of world-famous South African wine while sitting next to the soothing water features, and prepare yourself for the next day of spectacular sights!
Tour the Spectacular Blyde River Canyon
Today, enjoy your breakfast with one of the most magnificent views in Africa in the forefront.
Later on, you'll get a private tour of one of Africa's great natural wonders - the Blyde River Canyon along the Panorama Route. This route includes a view of the world's third largest canyon and offers a dramatic terrain of lush mountain peaks, raging rivers, dozens of waterfalls, and one of the largest forest areas in South Africa. Take your time exploring this extraordinary region.
We will stop for pancakes at the famous Harrie’s Pancakes in Graskop for lunch.
Head to "Big Five" Country
After bidding farewell to Hazyview, this morning you'll be heading to Nambu Camp located in the "Big Five" Balule Private Game Reserve in the heart of the Greater Kruger area.
Go on your first safari in the late afternoon when you'll have your first opportunity to get a glimpse of the Big Five: lions roaring; elephants trumpeting; buffalos lurking in long grass; rhinos standing stately under a thorn tree; leopards prowling in the gathering darkness.
You’ve seen the Big Five in books and you’ve seen them on TV. But it’s time to come and see them for yourself.
Set Out on an Early Morning Game Drive
This morning, wake up at the crack of dawn to go on your first early morning safari. As the sun rises, you'll be heading out to see animals sipping water, eating vegetation and going on the hunt before it gets too hot.
After this, you'll be able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and explore the camp a bit. During the heat of the day, relax by the camp’s poolside or bird watch from the lodge’s vast viewing platform, which overlooks a bustling waterhole, winding dry riverbed, and the Balule Reserve's beautiful landscape.
During the late afternoon, go on your second Safari drive of the day and enjoy the opportunity to see the animals in the twilight.
Finish off a fabulous day by relaxing with evening canapes, sunset drinks, and a lovely evening meal.
Take One Last Game Drive Then an Onward Flight
This morning you'll be going on your last safari.
After a light breakfast, you will, alas, be bidding a fond farewell to Nambu Camp, and heading back to Nelspruit Airport. From here, catch a flight to Johannesburg Airport, where you'll catch your flight home.
We hope that you have had an amazing time here and wish you all the best on your journey home!
