See Penguins, Seals, and the Cape of Good Hope
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel this morning. When you're ready, your private guide will pick you up at your hotel for a drive down to Hout Bay, where you will enjoy a scenic bay cruise around Duiker Island, home to some friendly seals.
Later, make your way to the Cape of Good Hope via the scenic Chapman's Peak Road.

Explore Cape Town at Your Own Pace
Today is yours to spend at your leisure and there are so many things to see and do!
Your guide will be at your service to take you on a fascinating journey through the city of Cape Town and its spectacular surroundings.
Some options for today could include a visit to Company Gardens to see charming aviaries and fish ponds. Art lovers may want to spend some time at the South Africa National Gallery.
The District Six Museum is another interesting option, which showcases an important part of Cape Town’s history. This community, made from a melting pot of cultures: freed slaves, merchants, artisans, and immigrants, was demolished in 1966 under the Group Areas Act of Apartheid. Today the area lays barren – a scar in Cape Town’s landscape. Learn about the personal stories of citizens from District Six, which are preserved in the fascinating museum.
Taste the Celebrated Wines of South Africa
South Africa's world-renowned wine route is on the agenda for today. Enjoy a panoramic tour of two of this area's most celebrated regions: Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
You will have the opportunity to take part in a guided visit as well as a wine tasting at two very different vineyards, including the Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate.
Discover the history of South African wine and taste Pinotage, South Africa's signature red wine grape. You will also have the chance to enjoy lunch at one of the vineyards.
Visit Hermanus: the Whale Watching Capital of the World
After breakfast at your hotel, set off with your guide to the enchanting city of Hermanus. Situated on the shores of Walker Bay, Hermanus is the official whale watching capital of the world.
Surrounded by majestic mountains, indigenous Fynbos plants, and spectacular natural beauty, this coastal resort offers the best land-based whale watching in the world. The Southern Right Whales visit Walker Bay from July until December every year. About 60 to 100 of these magnificent creatures migrate here from Antarctica to breed and rear their young.
In addition to whale watching, Hermanus offers opportunities for horseback riding, paragliding, kayaking, shark cage diving, fishing, and hiking, as well as simply swimming and sunbathing at one of the area's many gorgeous beaches.
Embark on a Whale Watching Adventure
Today's itinerary includes a whale watching adventure that begins with an on-land briefing led by our whale specialist. When you're ready, head down the jetty to our catamaran. We will set off from Hermanus New Harbour in search of the "gentle giants" that populate these waters.
The purpose-built catamaran provides superior viewing and comfort, and the friendly, knowledgeable crew will create an excellent experience during the tour.
The whale specialist will interpret the marine life encountered en route and provide insight into the behavior of the whales while you watch them in action.
Explore the Cango Caves near Oudtshoorn
This morning, set off with your guide on a journey to Oudtshoorn, in the Western Cape Province.
Here, you can visit the magnificent Cango Caves, which are carved into Precambrian limestone at the foothills of the Swartberg mountain range. One of South Africa's most well-known natural attractions, the Cango Caves offer you an unforgettable experience.
Later, visit the Cango Ostrich Show Farm, situated 14 km from the center of Oudtshoorn. Here, you can observe and learn all about ostriches.
Discover the Stunning Garden Route District
Head into the Garden Route District this morning on a 2-hour drive to Knysna. Your private tour guide can share a wealth of knowledge about the region and take you on a delightful exploration of this dazzling district on South Africa's southern coast.
Surrounded by the Outeniqua Mountains, indigenous forests, and a protected 21-square-km marine reserve known as the "Lagoon", Knysna offers a wealth of opportunities for eco-tourism, cultural-tourism, and heritage-tourism.
The Knysna Lagoon is best known for its oyster farming industry, and visitors will have plenty of opportunities to taste the delicious bounty, fresh from the sea.
See Awe-Inspiring Coastal Scenery and Visit Animal Sanctuaries
On your second day in Knysna, take some time to soak up the beauty of the Knysna Lagoon. A boat cruise offers a breathtaking experience on the water at any time of day, but travelers who enjoy a good view of the sunset may prefer to wait for a "Sunset Cruise" later in the day.
Animal lovers may want to visit Knysna's animal sanctuaries: Monkeyland and Birds of Eden. At Monkeyland, visitors of all ages can interact with various primate species, while Birds of Eden offers ornithology enthusiasts an opportunity to encounter tropical birds in an environment where they have lots of room to stretch their wings.
Finally, Tsitsikamma National Park features a marine reserve and spectacular coastal scenery for active travelers to explore.
Journey to Northern South Africa
The time has come to say goodbye to your private guide, who will drop you off at George Airport for your flight to Nelspruit. Your journey into South Africa's majestic interior begins today.
From the airport in Nelspruit, you will be transferred to Graskop, a small forestry town centrally situated in the tourist region of Mpumalanga.
Just a few minutes' drive from a number of scenic wonders such as God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, and the world-renowned Blyde River Canyon and Three Rondawels, Graskop also provides convenient access to spectacular waterfalls such as Lisbon Falls, Berlyn Falls and Mac Mac Falls.
Spend the night at a bed and breakfast.
Explore Astonishing Natural Sites
After breakfast today, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a day trip on the famous Panorama Route.
Here you will enjoy magnificent mountain scenery and panoramic views over the Klein Drakensberg escarpment. The viewpoints are named for the spectacle they offer, and God's Window and Wonder View hint at the magnitude of the scenery.
Hike through this wonderland and take in the views of astonishing natural sites like the "Pinnacle", a single quartzite column rising out of a deep-wooded canyon, and the "Three Rondavels", a trio of huge spirals of dolomite rock that rise out of the far wall of the Blyde River Canyon. From the "Three Rondavels" you can see the Swadini Dam in the distance, which marks the end of the reserve.
Return to your bed and breakfast to enjoy a restful evening.
