See the City And Visit A National Park
Enjoy a full English breakfast this morning at your hotel, Chez Lando.
At 9:00 your guide will pick you up for an exciting day exploring Rwanda's capital city and take you on an excursion to Akagera National Park.
One of the most important sites in Kigali is the National Genocide Memorial, which pays tribute to the victims of the 1994 Rwanda genocide. A moving and well-designed memorial, the museum offers insight on how this country has healed from this terrible time in its history.
Later, you will drive to Akagera National Park venturing through beautiful scenery as you make your way to your next hotel, Akagera Game Lodge.
Journey Deep Into The Savannah
Wake up at the Akagera Game Lodge, situated on a hill at the southern tip of Akagera National Park.
Overlooking the savannah, the lodge offers exceptional views of Lake Ihema.
This is the perfect home base for exploring the magnificence of Akagera National Park.
Your game drive begins this morning after breakfast, when you set out with your guide across the savannah grasslands in search for wildlife. Keep watch for the many wild animals who make their homes here, including lions, leopards and elephants.
After lunch you can enjoy a boat ride on the Akagera River in search of water loving animals like hippopotamuses, and crocodiles. Tonight dinner wll be served at your African savannah lodge.
Say Goodbye To Akagera National Park
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the African savannah before heading out later this morning for the journey back to Kigali.
Once again, the friendly staff at Hotel Chez Lando will welcome you as you check in and relax at the hotel or set out to see some more of the city before dinner.
Tomorrow you will set off on a long drive to Nyungwe National Park, so be sure to get a good night's rest.
Venture To Nyungwe National Park
You will set out early this morning on an all-day drive to Nyungwe National Park.
Take in the spectacular mountainous terrain of Rwanda as you journey south to Huye.
But first, a stop at the King's Palace Museum offers an interesting overview of Rwanda's history, as well as the chance to meet a herd of long horned royal cows, a prestigious symbol during the time of the monarchy.
Continuing westward you will make your way into Nyungwe National Park, ending the day's drive at the luxurious Emeraude Kivu Resort, where you can relax for the evening overlooking the peaceful waters of Lake Kivu.
Today you will meet a family of chimpanzees on a chimpanzee tracking hike in Nyungwe National Park.
Set your alarm clocks for 4:00 for an early start.
You will meet your local park ranger at the park headquarters, who will guide you on a walk through the forest based on your skill and level of fitness.
After spotting these native primates, you can spend up to one hour observing and photographing them in their natural habitat.
For an extra fee ($60) an optional canopy walk will take you on a breathtaking stroll high above the trees of this magnificent landscape.
Journey North To Gorilla Country
Today you will venture back to northern Rwanda to spend the next two nights at the Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge in Volcanoes National Park.
The drive is long, taking a full day, and the route will be determined based on the weather. You will set out early after breakfast, and arrive in the afternoon.
The Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge offers premiere accommodations for guests seeking to witness the endangered mountain gorillas of Rwanda.

Meet The Endangered Gorillas Of Rwanda
Another early day is on the agenda as you set out in search of gorillas. After a 7:00 hotel departure you will arrive at the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for registration.
Here you will enjoy a performance of the traditional dance of the Banyarwanda people as you enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee.
You will be assigned a specific gorilla family to track and get a briefing on the rules and regulations before starting your unforgettable adventure into the heart of the forest to track the endangered mountain gorillas of Rwanda.
Walk along forest trails in search of gorillas with the guidance of park rangers.
Once you meet the gorillas you can spend up to spend one hour with them.
Golden Monkeys And One Last Night In Paradise
Today's adventure will take you back into the heart of the forest to track another intriguing species of Rwanda's primates -- the golden monkeys.
After breakfast at the lodge, head out on your Volcanoes National Park trek.
Later in the afternoon you can visit the Iby'iwacu village community to gain insight into the culture of the people of Rwanda, before continuting on to your final destination, Gisenyi.
In Gisenyi, you will stay at the luxurious Paradise Malahide hotel on the beautiful banks of Lake Kivu.
Featuring bungalow rooms and a wonderful, traditional restaurant, this natural oasis offers the perfect location to enjoy your final night in Rwanda.
Today you will say goodbye to the magnificent country of Rwanda, but before you head to the airport for your onward flight, soak up the splendor of this stunning setting.
Right after breakfast you can go for a boat ride on Lake Kivu and visit the hot springs.
Enjoy lunch back at the hotel before your transfer back to Kigali.
