Hello, my name is Amit

Destination Expert for India

Short bio:

Amit's destiny with India has a twist in it! His parents were born in India and migrated to the US. As a child, Amit would return to India every summer, and upon graduating from High School, made the independent decision to pursue his Bachelors of Science in Business Commerce Honours from Shri Ram College of Commerce in New Delhi, India. It was from this experience he realized that he wanted India to be a part of everything that he did in his professional life, so he dove into the tourism industry head on. He set up shop in India and is proud to say he caters to any and all requests to India. The advantage in traveling with Amit is the special attention to detail and the customization of itineraries that he adheres to on a daily basis. He´s planned a dream holiday for people from all walks of life, from single travelers and honeymooners to large corporations and incentive tours, but the smile that he puts on each traveler´s face is the pot of gold! For first timers in India, my favorite route is a 10 day Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jhansi, Orchha, Khajuraho and Varanasi, as it provides you with a touch of our Capital, the Taj, the face of Rajasthan and its royalty, the famous Khajuraho temples that took 200 years to build. It also allows you the opportunity to easily extend into Nepal and visit the famous Himalayas. It provides you North India in a nutshell, but yet still goes in depth on famous landmarks. For second time travelers, I would recommend getting a feel of exquisite South India. The religious diversity of Cochin and Munnar, the wildlife in Periyar, the backwaters of Alleppey and the fishing villages, beaches and temples of Kumarakom, Kovalam and Trivandrum, respectively, offer a different perspective like no other on India.

Favorite destination:

My favorite region of India is Ranthambore. I love the wildlife surroundings contrasting with the feel of the palatial state of Rajasthan!

Travel preferences:

I like to pace my travel. Enjoying the country landmarks is important, but absorbing the culture is equally important. I like to enjoy watching the residents of the city and their daily function, and spend time in my hotel and enjoy the amenities.

3 things I always take with me on travel:

A tablet to stay in touch with family and get work done on my downtime, a toothbrush (the complimentary ones are never good!), and comfortable walking shoes (makes the difference between an enjoyable trip and a bad trip ;)).
