Welcome to Peru!
Upon arrival at Lima's Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Miraflores, where you are free to relax and wander around at your own pace.
Depending on the time of arrival, there are plenty of things for you to do so you can make the most of your first day in Lima.
This morning leave your hotel at 8:30am and depart on a tour that will take you back in time through the Colonial and Pre-Hispanic stages of Peruvian History. Your first stop will be at the Larco Museum.
The collection exhibited at Larco features fine gold, silver, and ceramics from Ancient Peru and offers the perfect introduction to Peru's millenary history. After, you will head to Lima’s city center to have a look at the grand architecture.
Here you will visit the 16th century Santo Domingo Convent and have a look at Lima’s main square. You should be returning to your hotel around 1pm, just in time for some lunch!
Travel to Amazing Arequipa
Today, at the coordinated time, you have a short drive to the airport to take your 55 minutes flight to the city of Arequipa. This afternoon, you will start your excursion by visiting “San Camilo,” Arequipa’s main market founded in 1881.
It is here were most “Arequipeños” buy groceries, flowers, clothes, shoes, and other quality items at low cost. After this interesting experience you will continue to the city’s main square and the “Compañia” Church, famous for its rich baroque style and the colorful Cupola of Saint Ignacio. Next, you will have a look at “El Tambo La Cabezona” a 17th century apartment compound that follows the classic colonial architectural style.
Finally, you will continue walking to the Santa Catalina Monastery, a very interesting 16th century religious enclosure that was only opened to the public in 1970.
Scenic Journey through the Colca Canyon
This morning, after breakfast, you will leave Arequipa and head to the Colca Canyon, a 160km journey. On route enjoy beautiful views of the Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu, the three volcanoes that surround the city of Arequipa.
As you travel, you will enter the Salinas and Aguada Blanca national reserve where it is quite common to see llamas, alpacas and wild vicuña herds grazing on the local pastures. Finally, you will reach the “Mirador de los Andes,” a popular high pass with commanding views of most of the volcanoes in the area.
You will only be here for a few minutes before you begin your descent into the Colca valley and canyon. This afternoon you can simply relax in the hotel while enjoying the beautiful surroundings; or, you may decide to take a walk through the charming countryside.
The Condor Cross Viewpoint
Today starts with a very early journey to the "Cruz del Condor" (Condor’s Cross) viewpoint, a perfect spot to observe the majestic flight of the condors and the depth of the canyon. On bright sunny days, you can usually see up to 10 condors flying.
After that, you will make way to Chivay, stopping on route at the traditional village of Pinchollo and the Antahuilque viewpoint, where wonderful 1,500-year-old terraces constructed by the pre-Inca Collaguas culture can be observed. You will then continue to Choquetico, the Andean community of Maca and Yanque, home to the most beautiful colonial church of the Valley.
You will have some free time for lunch and then you will return to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for personal activities such as hiking, horse riding, or biking.
Cross the Andean Plains to Reach Puno
Today, you can wake up late and enjoy the morning views of the canyon.
Then, at the coordinated time, you will begin your scenic 6-hour journey to Lake Titicaca. you will be crossing the heart of the Andeans highplains today.
The views are great, and a main highlight is the viewpoint at Lagunillas lake. Upon arriving to Puno in the afternoon you will check into your hotel.
Sail in Lake Titicaca
This morning, around 7am, you will get ready to board your private motorboat and navigate through Lake Titicaca. After about 30 minutes, you will reach the floating reed islands of the Uros Community, where you will have the chance to learn about their unique, age-old lifestyle with a visit to two of their floating islands.
After, you will continue towards the Island of Taquile, where you will have some time to relax and explore this beautiful place. From the town’s location on the tip of the peninsula you will have great views of the lake and Taquile Island.
On arrival, you will meet your host families who will show you around their land. This afternoon, you will have some free time to walk along the shores of Lake Titicaca or maybe embark on an additional activity such as fishing, sailing or hiking to one of the viewpoints nearby. By night, you will dine with your hosts.

Spend the Day with the Community
Today you will have the morning free to hike a little further along the countryside overlooking the lake.
Set off on a short bike ride, go sailing in a traditional vessel, go kayaking or just relax in this beautiful spot at Lake Titicaca.
You will also be able to join your host family in their daily activities if you're feeling curious! After lunch you will return to Puno in the motorboat.
Catch a Plane to Cusco
Today at the coordinated time, you will head to Juliaca's airport to board your flight to Cusco. On route you will visit the archaeological site of Sillustani located at the shores of lake Umayo.
This visit will allow you to observe something a bit different to what you have found at Lake Titicaca. You will be visiting an amazing burial site made up of huge cylindrical tombs called "Chulpas." After the tour, you will continue to the airport.
Upon arriving at Cuzco airport, you will be met by your local staff who will welcome and take you on your private transport towards the Sacred Valley.
Set Off for the Sacred Valley
This morning you will set off on a tour to visit some of the Sacred Valley's most impressive sites. First, you reach Moray, one of the most unusual Inca sites consisting of circular terraces built upon a natural depression, which seem to have been an agricultural experimental station used to adapt crops to different temperatures.
Then you will continue to Maras, an impressive salt-extraction complex consisting of thousands of small terraces. During the dry season they fill the pans every 3 days with salty water that comes from a natural spring, once the water is evaporated, they collect the salt they've been selling at the markets of the region since before the Inca times.
You will then continue to your hotel in the Sacred Valley where you should be arriving before lunchtime.
Marvel at Ollantaytambo
This morning, head out from your hotel to the Ollantaytambo archaeological site, an impressive Inca complex that protected this area from incursions from the Amazon Basin. Ollantaytambo is one of the best examples of Inca architecture.
You will then be able to walk along its cobblestone streets and have a look around the village. Afterwards, you will get ready to experience “Pachamanca,” a traditional cooking technique where the food is prepared underground with preheated stones and covered with banana leaves to separate ingredients from the soil.
After lunch, you will walk to the train station to board the afternoon train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town). Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, enjoy a reception and get assistance to the hotel.
Be Amazed at Gorgeous Machu Picchu
Today is the big day! Early in the morning, you will take a 20-minutes bus up the steep zigzagging road to Machu Picchu Citadel, located on an impressive mountain setting.
Once here, together with your private guide, you will prepare to explore just about every corner of the famous citadel.
After visiting Machu Picchu, you will have some free time in Aguas Calientes before boarding your return train back to Ollantaytambo, from where a private transport will be waiting to take you to your hotel.
Go Walking Around Cusco
This morning you'll strap on your walking shoes as we prepare for a gentle hike around Cusco's historical city center and surrounding countryside! You will begin the tour in the outskirts of Cusco with a visit to Sacsayhuaman a huge Inca fortress overlooking the city.
Then you will start an easy one-hour descent walk, part of it through an old Inca road, one of the best-preserved in the area until arriving in the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas. Afterwards, your walking city tour will take you not only through the most touristic sites in Cusco such as the Main Square, Cathedral, and Koricancha “Temple of the Sun,” but also along ancient streets, local markets, and old neighborhoods where you will discover the magic of Cusco.
This hike is the perfect way to get a more authentic feel of this amazing city and its people. The afternoon will be free.
Head Over to Tambopata National Reserve
Today at the coordinated time you will head to the airport to board your flight to Puerto Maldonado, the gateway to Peru’s Southern Amazon and the Tambopata National Reserve.
On arrival, you will be welcomed by our jungle specialist guide and transferred to our local office to leave any excess luggage. You will then board the motorboat to take a 2-and-a-half-hour boat ride to the lodge located in the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve. A box lunch will be provided on route.
Upon arrival, the lodge manager will welcome you and brief you on important navigation and security tips. Then you will have some free time to relax and plan your excursions for the night and the next day.

Welcome to the Amazon. There are a wide variety of activities which you can choose from depending on your interests.
You can do 3 or 4 excursions per day, depending on which activities you choose. Enjoy your stay!

This morning, you will board the boats to return to Puerto Maldonado where you will pass by the office to collect any baggage you might have left and then continue to the local airport to board your flight to your next destination.
