Day 1

Lima - Pachacamac - Lima  

Explore Every Corner of Pachamac

After a hearty breakfast, set off for Pachacamac, located 40 minutes to the south of Lima.

Pachacamac was one of the most important ceremonial centers in pre-Hispanic America. Today you'll get the chance to experience it for yourself! Then, you'll enjoy a half-day visit of the Olive Grove Park in San Isidro and the pre-Hispanic ruins of Huallamarca and Pucllana.

In the evening, return to your hotel in Lima and get some good rest for another exciting day full of adventures tomorrow.

Day 2

Lima - Trujillo  

Admire All the Colors of Trujillo

You will be transferred to the Lima airport to take your flight to Trujillo.

With its wooden balconies, wrought ironwork, and painted colonial facades, Trujillo is one of the most colorful cities in Peru and shows signs of remarkable economic development. You will visit the historic downtown including the Plaza de Armas, colonial mansions, cathedral, La Merced church, and Plazuela el Recreo. Then, you will visit The Temple of the Moon, a religious center built during the 5th century. 

Later, you'll continue on to the seaside village of Huanchaco, where fishermen use traditional reed boats, the “Caballitos de Totora.” In the early afternoon, we will continue to Chan Chan, the former capital city of the Chimu Empire in the 13th century, built from adobe (sun-dried bricks). Here, you will visit the Nik-An palace, before being able to rest your feet during the drive back to your hotel.

Day 3

Trujillo - El Brujo - Trujillo  

A Day Full of History and Dance

Enjoy a comfortable ride in a private vehicle to El Brujo, an archaeological site from the Mochica culture with colorful frescos.

In 2006, archaeologists found the tomb of a female governor, who has been called “the lady of Cao,” in El Brujo. Stroll around the rooms of the museum and learn all about the story of this fascinating woman.

You will then return to Trujillo to see a delightful performance of Peruvian "paso" horses, accompanied by a demonstration of the "marinera", a dance from the coast of Peru.

Day 4

Trujillo - Cusco  

Travel Back in Time in Cusco

It's time for another scenic drive down to the airport, this time to catch a flight to Cusco! 

Once you've settled in at your new hotel, you'll depart for a half-day tour dedicated to exploring Cuzco's historic downtown. The tour will start with visits to the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the Cathedral, exhibiting some paintings from the School of Cuzco and many goldsmith’s arts, silver, and precious stones treasures. You will continue with a pleasant walk down to the San Blas quarter (the artists’ place), where you can weave in and out of this fascinating neighborhood's streets.

Make sure to get some good rest tonight, as a very exciting day awaits you tomorrow.

Day 5

Cusco - Pisac - Tambomachay  

Exploring the Sacred Valley

Today, you will have an early start, but it will be worth it! After breakfast, you'll set off in a private vehicle on an all-day excursion to explore the Sacred Valley and Cusco.

The first stop will be at the ruins of Pisac, one of the main Inca sites, where the different areas (administrative, religious, military) are scattered on the mountainside. Also observable are the large terraces that were used for agriculture but also protected from the effects of erosion.

Then you will enjoy a walk around the colorful handicraft market before taking to the road again, this time in the direction of Cusco. Once there, you'll have the chance to explore the archaeological sites overlooking Tambomachay, Q’enko, Pukapucara, and Sacsayhuaman. 

In the evening, return to your hotel in Cusco to sit back and relax after a fun-packed day.

Day 6

Moray - Maras - Aguas Calientes  

A Day Full of Marvels

The first stop of the day will be a visit to the colonial village of Chinchero to admire the colonial church and the Inca ruins.

Then, you will continue your excursion by visiting the village of Maras and the salt flats perched in the cordillera! Go on to visit the cultural site of Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory. Finally, explore a bit of Ollantaytambo before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes, the starting point for visiting Machu Picchu.

Day 7

Machu Picchu - Poroy - Cusco  

Get Lost in the Wonders of Machu Picchu

Welcome to Machu Picchu, a real archeological masterpiece.

Machu Picchu is an ancient Inca city from the fifteenth century. Abandoned during the collapse of the Inca empire, it was forgotten for centuries before being unveiled by the American archaeologist Hiram Bingham in 1911.

In 1983, Machu Picchu was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, and in 2007, it was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Today, you will discover the reasons for these impressive titles as you begin to discover this fascinating archeological complex with your English-speaking guide.

Day 8

Cusco - Killamiyoc - Limatambo  

Village Hopping: Chonta, Tarawasi, and Limatambo

Depart for the charming old village of Chonta. On your way, you will visit two sites from the ancient Inca Empire: the ruins of Quillarumiyoc and its famous moonstone as well as the ruins of Tarawasi, an old Inca village.

You will also cross the village of Limatambo before going up to Chonta where you will discover a typical village from the Peruvian "Sierra" (mountain) with thatched roof homes.

After lunch, you will go on a one-hour walk at 3800 meters in altitude towards 3 watchtowers. Enjoy the unique landscape while gazing at Condors

Day 9

Cusco - Lima  

Farewell, Peru!

It has been a very fun-packed trip, and we are sad to see you go! Alas, all good things must come to an end.

If you have some time, enjoy one final stroll around your area or do some last-minute souvenir shopping. When you're ready, our representative will drive you to the airport to catch your flight back home. Safe travels!
