Welcome to Tokyo, land of samurais and sushi! Our guide will be waiting for you at the airport to offer you the warmest welcome to Japan, and will accompany you to your hotel for check-in so you feel at ease in the limousine bus.
You can use the rest of your day to rest from your flight or to walk around the hotel area to familiarize yourself with the neighbourhood. The choice is yours!
Explore the Diverse Neighborhoods of Tokyo
Your guided tour of Tokyo will begin this morning in Asakusa. Famous for its temple, this neighborhood features an authentic Japanese atmosphere with traditional architecture and shops selling local crafts.
After walking through this traditional area, you will head to Ueno Park. One of Tokyo's greenest areas the park is famous for its museums and zoo.
Finally, after your stroll through the park you will head to Akihabara, knwon as the otaku and electronics town where you can enjoy Japan's anime culture.
Discover the Peaceful Beauty of Nikko
Today leave the hectic and modern life of the capital to enjoy some Japanese nature outside of Tokyo.
Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Nikko, a famous spot where you can enjoy a combination of peaceful nature and beautiful temples, which will leave you speechless. You will also be able to see the Shinkyo Bridge, and witness the striking contrast of the red bridge against a leafy green backdrop.
Visit Meiji Shrine and Shibuya Crossing
Your Tokyo exploration continues today with a visit to the Shinjuku Tokyo Government Building, where you will enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo from a height of 202 meters! On a clear day, you may even be able to see Mt. Fuji.
After enjoying Tokyo from a high altitude, you will head to Meiji Shrine, one of Japan's most popular shrines, and enjoy a stroll through the park that leads to its entrance.
After praying in the shrine, head to Shibuya, famous for its crossing which is said to be the busiest intersection in the world! Be mesmerized with the number of people crossing at the same time in perfect coordination! You can also check out the Hachiko statue, which was erected in honor of the dog that inspired the movie "Hachi: A Dog's Tale."
After visiting Shibuya, you will have the afternoon free to continue exploring your last day in Tokyo at your own pace and enjoy its modern sights.
Journey by High Speed Train to Kyoto
After four days in Tokyo, today you will head to Kyoto, Japan's old capital. Catch a Shinkansen high speed train from Tokyo station to Kyoto, enjoying Japan's fastest train while travelling across the country.
After arriving in Kyoto, leave your luggage at your hotel and set off on an exploration of this enchanting city. A new local guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Sanju-Sangendo, a temple famous for its 1000 Kannon statues. You will then head to Higashiyama, one of Japan's most famous traditional neighborhoods where it seems that time has stopped. After enjoying the feeling of old Japan, head to the Gion area, a famous geisha district in Kyoto.
Your tour ends in Gion, and you are free to keep exploring the area or head back to your hotel for a well deserved rest.
Walk Through the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
Your second day in Kyoto begins with an excursion to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, a picturesque area where sunlight filters through delicate green bamboo leaves, making it just right for pictures.
After walking through the forest, travel to Kinkaku-ji, the golden pavilion. As the name suggests, it is a pavilion whose two top floors are covered in gold leaf. It is surrounded by a lake, and its reflection in the water leaves visitors in awe. Finally, head to Nijo Castle, a former imperial castle that will give you a glimpse of life in feudal Japan.
After such an inspiring day, your guide will accompany you to our selected ryokan for a classical Japanese hotel experience! You'll experience sleeping on a typical Japanese futon and enjoy a traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast - a must-do while in Kyoto!
Take a Day Trip to Nara
Your guide will pick you up at your Ryokan today for an excursin to Nara, famous for its park, temples, and miniature deer! Your first stop will be Nara Park, where you will see the wild deer roaming freely through the area. You can play with the deer and there are many vendors that sell special cookies you can feed them.
After playing with the deer, continue your tour towards Todaiji, Nara's most famous temple. The temple's Great Buddha is one of the biggest in Japan.
On your way back to Kyoto, stop by Fushimi Inari, a temple dedicated to the god Inari and one of the biggest of its kind in Japan. You will be amazed at all the fox decorations in the temple and its long trail of red wooden gates, perfect for pictures!
Journey to Osaka
Today you will venture to Japan's second largest city, Osaka, which is famous for its food.
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Kyoto and join you on the journey to Osaka.
First, you wil visit Nakanoshima Island for a mini river cruise. Here, you will enjoy the city sights from a mini boat. We will then head to Osaka Castle, one of Japan's most famous castles. Next, visit Umeda Sky Building Observatory, which offers a panoramic view of the city of Osaka. Finally, go to the famous Dotombori, Osaka's touristic spot where you will enjoy this city's most typical street food!
Spend One Last Day in Tokyo
Take the Shinkansen bullet train back to Tokyo today. Your last day in Japan, is yours to spend as you wish. Relax at your hotel, do some shopping, or maybe visiting some last tourist spots you haven't yet seen. If you want to walk around, we recommend you visit Ginza, Tokyo's most famous shopping district which is full of high-end boutiques and brand name stores. Or you can visit the iconic Tokyo Tower for a commemorative picture. The decision is yours!
Sadly, the time has come for you to fly back home, but we are sure that you now have beautiful memories of Japan and the itch to come back for more!
Today, take the Narita Express Train from Tokyo Station.
