On arrival at the airport, you will be taken to your hotel in the city. Rest for some time in the afternoon and then get ready to acquaint yourself with Tel Aviv situated on the lovely Mediterranean coast.
Observe local life as you stroll along the harbor taking in the sights and sounds. Enjoy dinner at the port before returning to your hotel for the night.
See the Top Attractions in Tel Aviv
It’s time for some sightseeing in Tel Aviv. Take a walk along Rothschild Boulevard, a street lined with historical buildings. Here, you will visit Independence Hall where the declaration of the State of Israel was signed.
Later, stroll along the trendy Sheinkin Street and move on to Carmel Food Market, a lively hub of shops and food stalls where locals and tourists converge. You will get a chance to learn about Israel’s War of Independence at the fascinating Palmach Museum.
On an interesting tour, walk into various rooms for an audio and video understanding of the different timelines of the war. Afterwards, proceed to the flea market at Old Jaffa. Take a look at the quaint street stalls selling all kinds of delightful merchandise.
Traverse The Coastal Route
From Tel Aviv, you will head north along the coastal road to Caesarea known for its Roman ruins and as a crusader city. You will then proceed to Haifa to view the extensive Bahá'í gardens. These gorgeous and tranquil gardens attract a lot of tourists.
Next, you will go to the crusader city of Acre and visit its underground tunnels and Knights Hall. Afterwards, continue your journey to Rosh Hanikra known for its wonderful grottoes located on the Mediterranean Sea.
You will take a cable car to see these geological formations on the cliff face along the sea. Later, you will arrive in Galilee and stay overnight at the hotel.
Travel to Golan Heights
Start your day with a jeep ride to the base of Golan Heights, an area with a stunning landscape.
You will then go on a trek through the Banias Nature Reserve. Take in the lush greenery along the way and enjoy the sight of a beautiful waterfall.
Afterwards, go on a drive up to Golan Heights to view the strategic borders, and splendid vistas of the Sea of Galilee.
Explore the Roman Ruins at Beit Shean
Today, you will visit Tzefat (Safed), one of the holy cities in Judaism and a center of Kabbalah. Here, you will make a trip to the Artists’ Colony, a hub for artists and art vendors where you can see galleries and artwork.
Drive onwards along the Sea of Galilee to Beit Alpha, an ancient synagogue dating back to the sixth century. Admire the amazing site especially the superb mosaic floors.
You will then head to Beit Shean, an archaeological site with fabulous ruins from the times of the Roman empire. As you wander among the extensive ruins including a well-preserved grand amphitheater, you will be transported to the time of the Romans. Then, continue via the Jordan valley to Jerusalem, the Holy City. Rest for the night at your hotel in Jerusalem.
Discover the Ancient Sites at Jerusalem
Begin your sightseeing in Jerusalem with an introduction to the Old City from the Haas Promenade that gives you a breathtaking view of the city. Then, get familiar with the Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rich ancient history which gives you a multi-religious and multi-cultural experience.
Explore its Jewish Quarter including the ancient Roman street Cardo, the excavated Burnt House that is now a museum, and the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) a place of immense historical and religious significance.
You will take a walk through the underground tunnels onto the Christian Quarter where you will find the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, an important holy place for Christians. Afterwards, wander through the colorful Arab markets before returning to your hotel.
Go On a Tour of Jerusalem’s New City
After yesterday's fascinating Old City tour, you will now get to see the newer sections of Jerusalem. Visit Yad Vashem, the holocaust memorial and museum. You will then proceed to the Israel Museum that has an amazing collection of objects and artifacts including the Dead Sea Scrolls – ancient Jewish manuscripts.
In the afternoon, make your way to the Mahane Yehuda Market, a great place to feel the vibe of the city, and enjoy some delicious food tastings. Stroll through the aisles containing all kinds of tasty food as well as fresh fruits, vegetables and meat.
Be Amazed by the Stunning Judean Mountains
You will spend the day in the Judean Mountains. Visit the Ayalon Institute (underground bullet factory), and the Latrun Armored Corps Memorial. Next up is a spectacular site known as Beit Guvrin, also called Land of a Thousand Caves.
Each cave at this UNESCO World Heritage Site has a distinct appeal including the famous bell caves. End your day with a spectacular sound and light show at the Tower of David (Jerusalem Citadel), a venue rich in history.
At night, the walls of the citadel come alive with breathtaking lights, colors and audio visuals including music during which the fascinating story of Jerusalem is narrated. Be mesmerized!
Float on the Dead Sea
Your discovery of Israel will now take you along the route overlooking the Dead Sea to Masada. It is a fortification located on a secluded cliff plateau in the Judean Desert.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Masada was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their rebellion against the Romans. Masada has some highly interesting sites. Visit the excavations of King Herod’s palace, the synagogue, bathhouse and much more. It feels like time traveling into the past as you see these archaeological treasures. You can also enjoy amazing views of the dramatic landscape including the Roman camps and the Dead Sea.
Have you ever imagined floating on the Dead Sea? Bring your swimwear along because you can do so in this salt lake with very high salinity levels. The Dead Sea is the earth’s lowest point making it a major tourist attraction. Enjoy the incredible experience of floating on the water!
