A family trip to Greece itinerary might combine the best of ancient Athens with a few days on a Greek Island. Your family will marvel at the Acropolis at night, when the famous Parthenon Temple is illuminated high above the capital city. Later, you will gain a new appreciation for simple food seasoned with Mediterranean herbs. No one will be able to resist the fish caught fresh from the Aegean Sea, ripe tomato and feta salads, and the little ones may find those octopus tentacles too intriguing not to take a taste. After lunch you can watch the colorful fishing boats in the harbor, and if you're lucky you'll s ee a local fisherman hanging his catch of octopus out to dry.
Families who would like to visit a Greek Island but prefer not to bounce around aboard Greece's ferry system could consider planning a family trip to Crete. With a family vacation on Greece's largest island, you will learn about the magnificent palaces built by the ancient Minoan civilization. You can explore the island's mythical mountain ranges where Greek gods are said to have been born, and spend some time swimming and snorkeling in stunning lagoons with safe, shallow waters.
Families with older children may enjoy island hopping to discover the diversity of these spectacular destinations. Santorini is dazzling with its whitewashed villages, while Rhodes is home to an excellent history museum housed in a medieval castle known as the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes.

This traveller just left a 5-star review.
Excellent! Everything went as planned throughout the whole process. He really listened to what we wanted and nailed it! Everything down to the last detail, including private transportation to and from airport, ferries, hotels and tours were prearranged and went off without a hitch. Even though he had given us a detailed itinerary in advance, it exceeded our expectations when seen in person. The hotels were all great. The drivers where always there on time. The tours were awesome. He even met us in person at our first hotel and checked in with us a couple times to make sure everything was going well. Antonis was great. We can't thank him enough for the stress-free wonderful package he put together for us!Read More Read More Less
