Welcome To China!

Arrive in Beijing and meet your local guide at the airport. Transfer to the city center.

Located in the center of Beijing, Tian’anmen Square,  is one of the largest city squares in the world. It will be your first stop. Built in 1417, it was the gate to the Forbidden City.

Next, discover the hutong district by rickshaw. Due to the narrow lanes, taxis cannot enter hutongs, sorickshaws are probably the most suitable transportation to discover Old Beijing. Enjoy the ride!

Day 1

Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall - Ming Tomb - Scared Road  

Visit The Great Wall And Ming Tombs

The Great Wall is one of the greatest wonders of the world. Originally built to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire against intrusions by various nomadic groups. Visit the Mutianyu section, the longest fully restored Great Wall section open to the visitors. Enjoy the view in front of you!

Then, head to the Ming Tomb-Zhaoling, the site of the Ming Dynasty Imperial Tombs carefully chosen according to feng shui (geomancy) principles. 

Part of the Ming Tomb Complex the Sacred Road comprises 18 pairs of marble figures lined up opposite each other, almost as if watching those passing by. The creatures include twelve pairs of animals, such as lions, horses, elephants, camels, and other hulking beasts, and six pairs of human beings such as generals, and public officials.

In the evening, you may choose to go for a Peking Roast Duck Dinner and Kong Fu Show.

Day 2

Beijing Temple Of Heaven - Forbidden City - Beijing Railway Station  

See The Temple Of Heaven And The Forbidden City

Today, make your way to the Temple of Heaven, a complex of Taoist buildings situated in the southeastern part of Central Beijing.

The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual prayer ceremonies to Heaven for good harvest.

Afterwards, head to the Forbidden City. For almost five hundred years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of the Chinese government. Immerse yourself in the spirit of Imperial China!

Since 1925, the Forbidden City has been under the charge of the Palace Museum, whose extensive collection of artwork and artifacts were built upon the imperial collections of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Transfer to the train station to take the night train bound for Xi’an

Day 3

Xi’An - Terracotta Warriors - Xi'an Great Mosque  

Meet The Terracotta Army

Arrive in Xi’an in the morning.

Meet your guide and have breakfast at the hotel.

Leave to visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses: made about 2200 years ago, they were found in 1974 on the east side of the tomb of the First Emperor Qin Shihuang by a group of farmers who were digging a water well. You will be amazed how realistic they are!

Head back to the city and visit the Great Mosque, one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved mosques in China.

Off the alleys leading to the Great Mosque is the Muslim Street, where all of the shops and restaurant are operated by Muslims. This colorful street is packed with shops selling a large variety of interesting local delicacies, snacks and souvenirs.

In the evening, you might want to attend a Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show and Dumpling Banquet.

Day 4

Xian Small Wild Goose Pagoda - Shaanxi History Museum - Xian Airport  

Marvel At The Small Wild Goose Pagoda

Today you will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, built in the year 707 A.D during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Unlike the grand Big Wild Goose Pagoda, it is dainty and exquisite in its appearance. It is an important cultural relic and one of the remaining symbols of the ancient Chang'an (the name of Xi'an in the Tang Dynasty).

Later on, learn how to write Chinese characters during a Chinese Calligraphy Class. It is ceratinly not a piece of cake, but with some persistence you will be able to master some symbols.

Continue your tour in this amazing city by visiting the Shaanxi History Museum, located to the northwest of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in the Ancient City of Xi'an.

At the end of the day, transfer to the airport. for your flight to Shanghai. After your arrival, meet your local guide and check into your hotel where you can get some well-deserved rest.

Day 5

Shanghai Bund - Pudong - Yuyuan Garden  

Walk Along The Bund and Pudong Area

Located along the Huangpu River, the Bund shows off Shanghai’s remarkable foreign buildings, most of which were erected before 1937. To the Europeans, the Bund was Shanghai’s answer to Wall Street. In the 1930s, the string of buildings hosted the city's financial and commercial centers, and the world's greatest banks and trading empires were based here.

Take the ferry over the Huangpu River and enjoy the beautiful views. Afterwards, go for a walk in the Pudong Area.

Then, make your way to Yuyuan Garden, located in the center of the Old City next to the Chenghuangmiao area in Shanghai. It is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region. Marvel at the the exquisite beauty there

Visit the Shanghai Museum, a museum devoted to  Ancient Chinese art, situated on the People's Square.

In the evening you may want to attend an acrobatics show at the Shanghai World Circus.

Day 6

Tongli Village - Suzhou Master Of Nets Garden - Suzhou Shantang Street  

Discover Pretty Tongli And Dreamy Suzhou

In the morning, drive to Tongli, known for its maze of canals. It has been given the nickname "Venice of the East". Walk around this old village and take a boat to explore the canals. After you had enogh of the canals, visit the beautiful Retreat & Reflection Garden before driving to to dreamy Suzhou.

Once there, see the Master of Nets Garden. It is the smallest of the Suzhou residential gardens, yet it is the most impressive because of its use of space creating the illusion of an area that is much greater than its actual size. 

Do not leave without visiting one of the local silk factories. China is known for its silk and Suzhou is most famous silk producer. What is so amazing about the silk-making process is that the silkworm creates its cocoon out of a single silk thread that is continuous for approximately 3,600 feet. You will be amazed by the process.

Drive back to Shanghai in the late afternoon.
