Welcome To Beijing!

Arrive in Beijing, meet your local guide in the airport, and transfer to the city center. Located at the center of Beijing City, Tian’anmen Square is one of the largest city squares in the world.



It was built in 1417 and was the entrance gate to the Forbidden City. At the Promenade near Shichahai (also called Houhai), you can take a rickshaw during the visit. Because of the narrow lanes, taxis cannot enter into hutongs.



Thus, a rickshaw is one of the most welcome transportation methods that will take you to the discovery of old Beijing.

Day 1

Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall - Ming Tomb - Scared Road  

Visit The Great Wall

The Great Wall is one of the greatest wonders of the world and was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. It was built originally to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire against intrusions by various nomadic groups.



Mutianyu section is the longest fully restored Great Wall section which is open to the visitors. There are fewer tourists and more beautiful views in Badaling like the Ming Tomb- Zhaoling, the site of the Ming Dynasty Imperial Tombs, according to Feng Shui (geomancy) principles.



You’ll visit one of Ming Tombs-Zhaoling. Zhaoling Tomb takes up an area of 35000 square meters. It is the tomb where the twelfth emperor of the Ming Dynasty Zhu Zaihou and his three empresses were buried.

Day 2

Beijing Temple Of Heaven - Forbidden City - Beijing Railway Station  

Marvel At The Forbidden City

Today you will go to the Temple of Heaven. It is a complex of Taoist buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest.



For almost five hundred years, the Forbidden City served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.



Since 1925, the Forbidden City has been under the charge of the Palace Museum, whose extensive collection of artwork and artifacts were built upon the imperial collections of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Transfer to the train station. Take the train to Datong.

Day 3

Datong - Datong Yungang Caves - Hanging Monastery  

Arrive In Datong

 Arrive in Datong in the morning. Meet your local guide and have breakfast at your hotel. Visit the Yungang Caves. One of China’s four most famous "Buddhist Caves Art Treasure Houses”, it is located about sixteen kilometers west of Datong.



There exist 53 caves, most of which are made during the Northern Wei Dynasty between 460 and 494 AD, and over 51,000 stone sculptures. It extends one kilometer from east to west and can be put into three major groups. The Hanging Monastery is an architectural wonder, one of the main tourist attractions and historical sites in the Datong area.



The structure is kept in place with wooden crossbeams fitted into holes chiseled into the cliffs. The main supportive structure was hidden.

Datong - Taiyuan Qu Family's Compound - Pingyao  

Drive To Pingyao

 Meet your guide. Visit the Qu family's Compound. Built during the reign of Qianlong during the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911), this 240-rooms compound has a history dating back over 300 years and covers an area of over 5,300 square meters (6,340 square yards). It is only one-fifth of the Qu family's estate.



The family was an outstanding representative of Shanxi Merchants and their estate used to occupy almost the entire eastern half of Qi County. Drive to Pingyao.

Day 5

Pingyao - Pingyao Shuanglin Temple - Pingyao Old City  

Be Amazed By The Shuanglin Temple

The Shuanglin Temple is reputed to be the ancient painted sculptures museum. The temple houses more than 2,000 colorful sculptures reflecting the exquisite skills of the artisans of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties.



The Shuanglin Temple was included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO as an important cultural site of Ping Yao City in 1997. The Rishengchang Exchange Shop, located in Pingyao, is considered the first draft bank in China's history. 



The Former County Yamen or Ancient Government Office is firmly on the map for the Chinese tour groups. The complex of administrative offices, open courtyards, and prison are large enough to handle the many tours that work their way through the rooms. Pingyao Ancient City is thought of as the 'treasure house' of ancient Chinese architectures.

Xi’An - Terracotta Warriors And Horses - Great Mosque  

Marvel At The Terracotta Warriors

The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, created about 2,200 years ago, were found in 1974 on the east side of the tomb of the First Emperor Qin Shihuang. It was discovered in the spring of 1974 in the eastern suburbs of Xi'an by a group of farmers who were digging a water well.



The Great Mosque is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China. Take a walk down Muslim Street, where all the shops and restaurants in the street are operated by Muslims.



This colorful street is packed with shops selling a large variety of interesting local delicacies, snacks, and souvenirs.

Xi’An Small Wild Goose Pagoda - Shaanxi History Museum - Guilin Fubo Hill  

Spend Time In Xi'An

Learn how to write Chinese characters. Afterward, visit the Shaanxi History Museum. This is located to the northwest of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in the ancient city Xi'an, in the Shaanxi province of China and is one of the first huge state museums with modern facilities in China.



The museum houses over 370,000 items, including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects. The modern museum was built between 1983 and 2001 and its appearance recalls the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty.



Transfer to the airport. Flight to Guilin. After arrival, meet your local guide.

Day 8

Guilin - Longsheng Rice Terrace - Longsheng Ethnic Village  

Enjoy A Day In Longsheng

Drive to Longsheng. Located in Longsheng County, the Longji Rice Terraces are about 100 km (2 hours drive) from Guilin.



The most popular are Ping An Rice Terrace and Jinkeng Rice Terrace. The history of Longji Rice Terrace can be dated back to the Yuan Dynasty, but most of the Rice Terraces were built during the Ming Dynasty, about 500 years ago.



Drive back to Guilin.

Day 9

Guilin Li River Cruises - Yangshuo - Yangshuo Promenade By Bicycle  

Embark On A Li River Cruise

Go on one of the Li River Cruises. This cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is the centerpiece of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province.



Gorgeous Karst peaks give you surprises at each band of the limpid river under the blue sky.



In the afternoon, visit a local market. You can also take a bicycle to travel around this small town.

Day 10

Guilin Airport - Shanghai - Shanghai Yuyuan Garden  

Take A Flight To Shanghai

Transfer to the airport and catch your flight to Shanghai. Arrive in Shanghai, meet your local guide, and transfer to the city center.



Visit Yuyuan Garden. Located in the center of the Old City next to the Chenghuangmiao area in Shanghai.



It is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region.

Day 11

Tongli Village - Tongli Retreat & Reflection Garden - Suzhou Master Of Nets Garden  

Spend Time In Tongli

Visit the Silk Factory Tongli. In the morning, drive to Tongli. It is known for a system of canals and has been given the nickname "Venice of the East". Promenade in this old village and take a boat.



Retreat & visit the Reflection Garden, also called Tuisiyuan in Chinese. It was recognized with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.



Drive on to Suzhou and visit the Master of Nets Garden. This is the smallest of the Suzhou residential gardens, yet it is the most impressive due to its use of space which creates the illusion of an area that is far greater than its actual size.



Enjoy a trip to the Silk Factory then travel back to Shanghai in the late afternoon.

Day 12

Shanghai Bund - Pudong - Shanghai Museum  

Visit The Bund

Located along the Huangpu River, the Bund shows off Shanghai’s outstanding foreign buildings, most of which were erected before 1937. To the Europeans, the Bund was Shanghai’s answer to Wall Street. In the 1930's, the string of buildings hosted the city's financial and commercial centers, and the world's greatest banks and trading empires established a base here.



Ferry over to Huangpu River where you can gaze out at the beautiful view. Take a walk in Pudong Area and visit the French Concession, which was a foreign concession in Shanghai, China from 1849 until 1946. The area of the concession was progressively expanded in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. 



Visit the Shanghai Museum, a museum of ancient Chinese art, situated on the People's Square.
