Welcome to Brazil!
Welcome to incredible Brazil! You'll touch down in Rio de Janeiro where you'll be greeted at the airport by your local guide. He'll drive you into town where you'll have some time to relax and freshen up before setting out to explore!
Spend some time walking around the city, taking in the new and exciting scenes. Stroll along Copacabana Beach and drink an ice-cold caipirinha by the sea.
When it's time, head back to meet us for a celebratory welcome dinner!
Explore Santa Teresa and Corcovado
This morning, you'll start a city tour by going up to the iconic Corcovado, a worldly known symbol of Rio. Once up there, take the time to appreciate the unique and amazing panoramic view of the "Cidade maravilhosa" (wonderful city) as well as the Christ the Redeemer statue.
Head back down via Santa Teresa, which used to be one of the wealthiest residential neighborhoods of Rio. Santa Teresa now shelters a diverse population in the bohemian quarter of modern Rio. Walk through this area to get a taste of its quaint and old atmosphere. During the trip to Lapa, visit the colored stairs or "Escadaria do Convento da Santa Teresa", decorated by Jorge Selarón.
Later, enjoy a private visit to Rio’s city center, from a colossal avenue framed by imposing glass buildings to quaint, small streets and their little affordable shops.
Cable Car Ride to Sugarloaf Mountain
You'll drive along the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon. From the beach of Ipanema, we already see the "2 Irmãos" mountain standing at the end at the beach. The bus leaves you just at the foot of the "Morro", at the entrance of the Vidigal favela.
From there, a combi-taxi takes you to the heart of the community. The road is narrow, steep, and has tight turns. You finally arrive at the top of the favela, the starting point of the trail.
In a few seconds, you will be in the middle of the rainforest. During the climb, you will overlook the impressive favela. Further on, the Pedra da Gávea dominates the neighborhoods and the beaches of São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca. You finally get to the top. The view is breathtaking!
In the afternoon, you'll relax and enjoy a scenic cable car ride to the top of the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain.
Journey to the Southern Pantanal
Take a flight from Rio to the Pantanal and enjoy the ease of a private transfer from Campo Grande to the Aguapé pousada.
After Aquidauana, the scene is set: on and around this track crossing swamps, you can already spot some animals. Alligators bathing in the sun on the shores of the lagoons, capibaras (semi-aquatic rodent) wandering in the wild, and multicolored birds observing your shaking vehicle lifting huge clouds of dust.
You will reach your destination in the afternoon. Make yourself comfortable before a first activity to discover the surroundings. Enjoy a fun dinner and night at the pousada Aguapé
Exciting Activities in the Hot Pantanal
In the Pantanal, you'll have a variety of activities to choose from. Try a trek at sunrise or in the afternoon to experience the beauty of the region. Take a boat tour in the Aquidauana river to observe the local fauna and flora. Try your hand at piranha's fishing in a bay of Aquidauana River and try not to be terrified of these fish! Adventure on a horse riding tour, one of the best way to explore the swamp.
Later, go for a photographic Safari in a 4x4 open vehicle. This tour gives you the opportunity to cover more territory of the farm going through different landscapes. At night, go with your guide to observe the nocturnal animals.
Adventure into the Wetlands
Today will be another action-packed day in the Pantanal wetlands. There are more activities for you to choose from. Take a horse and carriage ride, a pleasant tour through the fields of the farm and also a good option for those who don’t like or cannot ride on horseback.
Next, give cattle handling a try. During the morning or afternoon, you can accompany the cowboys in their work routine with the cattle. Move the cattle to other parts of the farm (otherwise known as a cattle drive), take care of the calves, or see the cowboys working at the corral.
In the afternoon, embark on another scenic boat cruise nearby.
Wildlife Spotting Cruise on the Delta
Early this morning, we'll go on an excursion to reach the best sites frequented by wildlife. We'll take a boat deep into the wetlands for a flora and fauna spotting cruise. Keep your eye out for fish, birds, and hungry alligators. If you're lucky, you'll also spot capybaras or the elusive predator, the leopard.
Return in the late morning followed by lunch and departure preparations. After lunch, we will get back on the road to Campo Grande. When you arrive, you'll have the rest of the day to yourself to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Journey to Ilha Grande
Today will largely be a travel day. You'll wake up early in Campo Grande and take a flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, your local guide will be there to pick you up. You'll drive south along the incredible coastline. Soon, you'll arrive at the dock where you'll take a ferry to the stunning island of Ilha Grande.
When you arrive, you'll check into your hotel and have the rest of the day free. Ilha Grande is an island paradise and you're encouraged to set out and explore the tropical beaches and swim in the bright blue sea.
Enjoy the Scenery of Ilha Grande
Today you'll have a free day to explore the island and its many beaches. Different activities are available for you to try. You might like hiking the trail to the Feiticeira waterfall. This magnificent waterfall is one of the best things to see on the island and your local guide would be happy to take you there.

Paradise Beaches, Sun, and Sand
It's another free day in Ilha Grande. Today you might like to explore on land a bit, walking through the quaint towns and window shopping.

In the afternoon, try some water sports like kayaking. Your guide will arrange your rentals and you can set off into the bay exploring. If you want to try scuba diving, that's possible too! There's no better way to explore the ocean. If that's not for you, a boat tour to Lagoa Azul or Lagoa Verde will be the perfect activity. Either way, your day will be full of adventure!
Your time in Brazil has come to an end. After transferring back to Rio, take one last morning to enjoy the beautiful city. Stroll through the streets, eat some delicious last meals, and do some last-minute souvenir shopping. Hit the beach for one last tan or swim, and enjoy a final beachside drink.
