On your first day in the Balkans, you will arrive in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. You'll be greeted by your friendly local guide who will be eager to show you around. You'll drive to your hotel where you'll have time to relax and refresh before dinner.

From Belgrade to Novi Sad

Wake up and explore the beautiful capital of Serbia. Spend time at the Kalamegdan Fortress in the city center where the Sava River flows into the Danube. You'll also visit the popular Square of Republic, Saint Sava Temple, and Tito’s Memorial.

If you're an aminal lover, you can visit the zoo, one of the best in the Balkans. In the afternoon, you'll continue to the second largest city in Serbia, Novi Sad.

You'll visit the Petrovaradin Fortress where you'll have a beautiful view of the city. You can spend time exploring the museum, the shows, and the history of the fortress as well. Your guide will make sure you don't miss the city's two most beautiful buildings - the University of Novi Sad and the National Theatre.

Discover Historic Sarajevo

After an enjoyable breakfast in your hotel in Novi Sad, travel to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In Sarajevo, you'll have a two-hour walking tour with an expert local guide. You'll see the most important cultural, historic, and religious monuments in Sarajevo such as Baščaršija Square, Gazi Husrev-Bey Mosque, the Latin bridge (known for the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand,) and other interesting places in along the way.

You will have lunch in a traditional restaurant in Sarajevo where you can try local food. The rest of the day can be spent at your own pace, walking the city and taking in all the sights and sounds.

Explore Stunning Herzegovina and Mostar

Wake up in sunny Sarajevo and begin your drive south. You will have a tour in Herzegovina (the southern part of the country) where you'll end in Mostar. In this tour, you will enjoy the beautiful landscape of Herzegovina and learn more about the history of this region. You will visit Konjic, a small but beautiful town in Herzegovina, Počitelj Village, and Blagaj City. You'll visit mysterious and exciting places and enjoy lunch next to the river Buna.

You'll visit the Old Bridge in Mostar and the four pearls of Herzegovina. In the afternoon, discover Kravice waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Europe. Relax in your Mostar hotel when the day is done.

After spending a night in Mostar, continue to one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Croatia: Dubrovnik. We will visit the old town where you can see some imposing monuments such as Rector’s Palace and Franciscan’s Church and Monastery. Walk the city walls for unparalleled views of both the city itself and the bright blue Adriatic Sea below.

Zagreb, Croatia's Historic Capital

Set off for Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia located on the northwest along the Sava River. This amazing city is packed with history, great food, and friendly people. Part of the city to the north of Ban Jelačić Square is composed of the Gornji Grad and Kaptol, a medieval complex of churches, palaces, museums, galleries, and government buildings. You'll take an enjoyable and informative walking tour in Zagreb with a local guide, stopping at all the best spots along the way. 

Your guide will then point you in the direction of one of the best lunch spots in the city for a delicious meal. When you're finished, take a squeaky streetcar ride back to your hotel.

Time to Leave the Balkans

On your last day in Croatia, spend some time exploring Zagreb on foot at your own pace. Do some shopping in town, visit another monument, or simply wander the narrow streets and enjoy your last moments in the Balkans.

Head to the airport in Zagreb to catch your flight home. You'll leave with wonderful memories of historic sights and beautiful landscapes of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia that will last you a lifetime.
