Land in La Paz!
Your first experience of Bolivia is in La Paz! What's more exciting than landing in the highest capital of the world, situated at an altitude of over 3200 meters?
You will arrive at El Alto airport and will be transferred to your hotel in La Paz. You are free to wander around the busiest and most colorful city in Bolivia. La Paz is a mix of ancient, modern, and occidental beauty. I'm sure you will find it hard to contain your excitement!
Explore La Paz and Moon Valley
After breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel and tour around the colorful city of La Paz and the wonderful landscape of Moon Valley.
I'm sure you can't wait to visit K’Illi K’Illi mirador and the Laykakota Park! Here, you can enjoy the panoramic views of the city. You will fall in love in the romantic ambience of Montículo, where the lovers and newlyweds meet and take pictures! Then, you will visit the Moon Valley and enjoy the views of the lunar rock formations.

Discover the Beauty of Copacabana and Yumani
Today, you will be picked up at the hotel and you will ride on a public transport to Copacabana. Follow along Lake Titicaca and the Cordillera Real. I'm know you will enjoy the view even before you reach Copacabana!
Once you arrive in Copacabana, you will visit the most interesting sites this place has to offer. Visit the cathedral and the Hill of the Way of the Cross.Then, head to Fuente del Inca on la Isla del Sol by motorboat. Your visit in Yumani will be worth the 500 ascending steps. This place has the best infrastructure on the island, and you will really enjoy your overnight stay!

Trek on the Island of Isla del Sol
In the morning, prepare yourself to exercise. You will trek from Yumani to Inca ruins of Chincana, the labyrinth in Aymara. The view of the ruins is breathtaking! This is a historical spot because it is worshiped as the birthplace of the first Incas.
You will return to Copacabana after lunch before continuing on to La Paz. I'm sure you want to rest your tired feet. You will spend the night at a hotel in La Paz.
Crossing the Altiplano to Uyuni
Today, embark on the long journey to Uyuni.
Ride a bus to Oruro before getting on a train to Uyuni, a small town on the edge of the Salar. Ride on the comfortable train before being transferred to your hotel once you arrive in Uyuni. The rest of your day is at your own leisure. You can choose to spend it relaxing at the hotel or strolling around the town. For your lunch or dinner, try one of the local restaurants or bars.
Soak up a good night of rest at the hotel so you can enjoy tomorrow's adventure.
Exploring the Town of Uyuni
You will begin your journey with a view of colorful landscapes and lagoons, rock formations and volcanoes when you cross the Sur Lipez area on route to Uyuni. Then, visit the famous and historical train cemetery on the outskirts of Uyuni. After that, you will visit a number of villages and get to know the locals and observe their way of life.
Your lunch will be at San Cristobal, known for its beautiful colonial church. You will then cross the region of Rio Grande and head to the village of Villamar where you will spend the night.
A Gathering of Pink Flamingos!
You will surely enjoy your second day in Sur Lipez!
Today, discover the highlights of the region. If you love bird watching, surely, this day will be one of your favorites! You will visit the Laguna Colorada, known for its beautiful pinkish water. You will definitely fall in love with the flock of flamingos standing in its pools! These are just a couple of the highlights for today. You will also visit the geysers in Sol de Mañana and the magnificent Polques thermal springs, surrounded by amazing frozen landscapes! Also stop by the Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde for a bit of volcano-watching.
Then you will go back to Laguna Colorada to spend the night.
The Beautiful Lagoons of the North
Get your camera ready! Today, get ready to discover many of the amazing sights Bolivia has to offer!
In the morning, head north to Siloli Desert, where you can catch a glimpse of the famous "Stone Tree" standing magnificently in the middle of the desert. Then, prepare yourself for one of the highlights of today. Ride along the "Route of the Jewels", where you can see the beautiful lagoons: Honda, Ch’arkota, Hedionda, Cañapa. You will see three more species of flamingos in these lagoons!
Spend the night in San Juan, a small village famous for its surprising mummies of the “Lipez Lords”.

Discover the Salty Side of Bolivia
Today, you will leave Sur Lipez and visit the saltiest attraction of Bolivia!
Prepare to be amazed while you drive across the world's largest salt flat - the famous Salar de Uyuni! Then, ride through the salt desert on the way to Incahuasi. The volcanic mountain stands magnificently across a backdrop of the clear, blue sky.
Before leaving the Salar, stop by the village of Colchani to visit its unique salt hotel. You will continue to travel to Uyuni, where you will stay for the night.
Explore the Silver Mines of Potosi
In the morning, you will leave Uyuni and cross the Cordillera de los Frailes to Potosi. Potosi is the most populated city on earth but is also very rich in mineral resources! You will visit the world's largest and second largest silver mines. It was considered an Imperial City back in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is now almost a ghost town, but I'm sure you want to explore the place and get to know its history.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Casa de la Moneda, one of the most important historical buildings of the city. You can take pictures of the beautiful colonial house which is now an important historical museum.
You will spend the night at a hotel in Potosi.
Observe the Miners at Work!
Today, you will be able to see miners in action!
Visit the Cerro Rico, also known as "Rich Hill", because the mountain is very rich in mineral resources. You will be able to observe the miners at work as well as the overwhelming mix of miners of all ages, who work under very difficult conditions.
You will then leave for the small colonial city of Sucre. Cross the Pilcomayo River on the Sucre Bridge, an interesting sight with a medieval look. You will spend the night at Sucre and explore more sights tomorrow.

Sucre, known as the "White City" is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is famous for its flair of quietness, its beautiful colonial structures, and its numerous churches. You will visit the famous buildings of the city as well as the museum. Also explore the Convento de la Recoleta, a famous monastery. You will learn about the culture of the region and the country in the Museum of Indigenous Art (ASUR) and about the Bolivian history in The Casa de la Libertad. Visit the Monastery of San Felipe Nery, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the city from its terrace.
Today has been full cultural and historical experiences. After such a long day, rest for the night at your hotel in Sucre.
Hello Again, La Paz!
Today, say goodbye to Sucre and hello to La Paz.
You will be transferred to the airport in Sucre for your flight to La Paz. Once you arrive at the international airport of El Alto, you will be transferred to your hotel in La Paz. You are free to spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.
An Interesting Day in Chacaltaya
After breakfast, you will depart for the community of Chacaltaya. Enjoy a refreshing hike that will take you to different viewpoints and lagoons. For those that love critters, this is a perfect opportunity for you to enjoy the Andean wildlife! You can do a lot of activities in this area, such as trekking, fishing, wildlife watching, and participate in other daily activities of an Aymara community!
You will have lunch in Pampalarama then return to La Paz in the afternoon.
