List Of The Most Beautiful Old Quarters Around The World
Oct 30, 2014 by Max
"Make sure it's near the old quarter".
Arguably one of the most common phrases when that time comes again to book a hostel online, or when you're tracing every corner of Lonely Planet's tiny grid maps on a rickety old bus headed for the city. And for good reason, too. Saturated with crumbling architecture, colonial squares and ancient churches/temples, all the most significant sites are often condensed into the city's picture-postcard old quarter.
But which cities have the most beautiful old quarters around the world, I hear you ask? Well, subjective as it may be, trip.me are highlighting our favorites, all the way from Hanoi to Havana.
So feel free to judge, critique or even add your own old quarter to the list because, quite simply, there are thousands and I don't have the time to crawl the world in one blog post.
